Function of Beauty

Shopping for shampoo and conditioner is overwhelming. More times than not I find myself standing in the haircare aisle for an embarrassing amount of time, aimlessly staring at all of the bottles. There are so many brands and products claiming to do the same thing…are they gimmicks? If I spend more will it guarantee me a healthier and shinier mane? If you too experience this “stressor” at the pharmacy, then this blog post is for you. Introducing Function of Beauty, shampoo and conditioner formulated for your unique hair type!

How Does it Work?!

To begin, simply build your “hair profile.” Select your hair type, hair structure, followed by scalp moisture. After that, select five “hair goals.” In a perfect world, how would you like your hair to act and look? I chose: color protection, thermal protection, volumize (I have always admired those with natural “Texas Hair!”), fix split ends, and shine (I am often told my hair could be in a Vidal Sasoon commercial – I’d like to keep it that way). Last but not least, pick the colors and scent, then leave the rest to the “hair lab.” It really is as easy as it sounds.

The Verdict is in!

After the first wash, I already noticed a difference in the texture of my hair. Typically I struggle combing my fingers through my mane when it is wet. Clearly the chemist got the formula right…for the first time in years, I did not have to saturate my ends in de-tangler. A quick blow dry later, there was no sign of frizz, or dry ends, rather I was left with luscious locks scented with passion fruit. My hair felt light, bouncy, and squeaky clean. Never have I ever been more excited about the “chore” of washing my own hair. I am thankful for Function of Beauty and confident that you will also have a positive experience.
