What’s in my Beauty Bag

I am often questioned about my makeup regime, so I put together this guide featuring four products that are ALWAYS in my beauty bag. What are you favorites? I would love to hear!

Skin

Flawless skin is a blessing. Fortunately, 24/7 “smooth” skin is attainable with the right foundation and powders. For the past several months, I have been using Ashley Seivert’s Mineral Velvet Creme Foundation with the Mineral Finishing Velvet Powder and I have never been happier. I used to avoid liquid foundation like the plague. This stuff is light but still provides the full coverage that you would expect out of liquid foundation. After applying “LA” all over my face, I use Glow under eye brightener to conceal my infamous dark circles. Aside from relieving me of my biggest insecurity, Glow is also my eye primer, and highlighter of choice. Read more about these products here.

Brush

Finding the right face makeup is just the first step in perfecting your makeup and skincare regime. I must admit, I used to use my fingers to apply my makeup (gross) before switching to a beautyblender, and various other brush sets. The blendSMART rotating brush has won my loyalty. This one of a kind brush leaves you with airbrush-like results, minus the hassle and waste. I am convinced the blendSMART brush has singlehandedly increased the “shelf life” of my foundation. I have been using the same bottle since mid March and there are at least 10 more applications in there. For someone who wears a full face of makeup everday, I think we can all agree that is very impressive.

Brows

Maintaining your eyebrows is one of the easiest ways to appear effortlessly primped…even on the days when you do not paint your entire face with makeup! Once you have found yourself a brow genius (Sara is my hero), filling in your eyebrows will brighten your appearance. I am a huge fan of the Anastasia Brow Definer pencil. It is self sharpening (score!) and the tapered edge allows you to make heavy or light hair strokes. I use “Dark Brown,” but with 10 shades to choose from, I guarantee you’ll find a match.

Mascara

If there is one thing I cannot live without it is mascara! There is nothing like bold eyelashes to complete your look. Throughout the years I have tried many, but L’Oréal’s pharmacy grade products never cease to amaze me. Voluminous is my current favorite. The curved brush helps reach those corner lashes and the thick formula creates length and volume. All of those attributes are great, but what I like about it the most is that it’s “buildable.” You’ll be able to touch up your lashes throughout the day clump and flake free.

That cream lip stain is one of my faves at Sephora! Cannot leave the house without it. One of those “OMGGG me too!!” moments right now.
