People say, “you are what you eat,” but how about, “you are what you wear?” I am a lover of color. It makes me happy and it gets the creative juices flowing. I am this pleated maxi dress!
If you do not want to draw attention to yourself, stay clear of this dress. It will stop people in their tracks. Not only are the colors happy and bright, but the sweeping fabric sways with every move you make. Speaking of, pleated garments are the best because they are easy to care for. You don’t really have to worry about getting anymore wrinkles! Anyway, the fit and feel of this dress is relaxed and cool. Hence the reason it’s great for the fall. You never know if it’ll be in the low 60’s or high 70’s!
I usually gravitate towards tailored clothing to avoid the potato sack look, but this pleated maxi dress is an exception. For your reference, I am five feet and wearing the size small. I don’t really care that it is a bit “oversized” because that is sort of the point. This pretty little thing was not made to accentuate your curves. It was designed to show off the material. I styled it with white booties because they are my current obsession. Black shoes, however, would be an appropriate substitute. What are you waiting for?
