Life is Too Short to Wear Boring Clothes: Wear a Gold Bodysuit

I am not much of a jeans and a top girl – never have been and I probably never will be. I find it underwhelming shopping for tops and jeans when I could be shopping for everything in between. Maybe that makes my style impractical, but that’s just me! So, in an effort to “balance out” my wardrobe, I am beginning to add bodysuits to the mix. Today we feature a glitzy gold bodysuit and it just so happens to be the perfect addition to your holiday attire.

Life is too short to wear boring clothes

Ok, I figured it out. I do not have anything against an old fashioned jeans and top outfit, I am just not comfortable in one. My clothes affect my mood, and I do not mean that in a materialistic way. I vividly remember an incident shortly after arriving to San Francisco. Jonathan and I were venturing out to a new restaurant in the marina, and when he asked me if I was ready to leave, I started to cry. I felt SO BLAH in the clothes that I was wearing. When I reflect back with a clear mind, I can see there was more to it than an outfit meltdown. 1. We had just relocated to the most expensive city in the country (quite possibly in the world) – shopping was NOT in the cards, and 2.) I had not yet adjusted to what would become my every day attire. We moved from Louisiana where it is HOT and HUMID most of the year. Moral of the story: I take a lot of pride in my unique fashion style, and dressing oneself is a form of self-expression. If I am not happy with the clothes I am wearing, I am not happy with myself!

So what does it take to get me into a pair of jeans and a top?! Flare legs, high heels, or a sequin-covered plunging gold bodysuit! This glamorous item is far from boring. As if the deep v-neck and sparkles aren’t bold enough, the tie back detail is the crème de la crème. I’d never “waste” a top like this and wear it with straight forward skinny jeans. Instead, I am wearing it with the most ripped up denim I own and open-toe booties. I am already on the hunt for a pair of leather pants to dress it up during the holidays. Until then, you can find me like this! No tears were shed in the making of this outfit.
