Just like patent leather high heels, translucent heels are also available in a variety of shapes and forms. I love the lace-up kind because they emulate a lace-up bootie. If you have been following my blog for a while then you know how often I wore my pearl embellished lace-up booties during the winter (seen here and here). What a relief to find a replacement shoe cool enough for the spring! Maybe you are uncomfortable with lace-up shoes across the board…if this is the case, check out the alternative pairs I round up for your shopping pleasure.

What is your definition of a “classy” outfit? To me, the first thing that comes to mind are pearls. Therefore, this pearl embellished skirt was the perfect item to begin my ensemble with. The timeless a-line silhouette is easy to style and particularly crisp in black. I dressed it with not your average t-shirt, but a simple white top or button down would also work. When dressing a “conservative” bottom, cease the opportunity to get funky with the top and/or shoes. I balanced out the edgy accents with pearl jewelry and a tres classique Prada handbag. There you have it, an outfit with class and a ton of sass!

This sweater is great because it is a relatively neutral hue and the sleeves are 3/4 length – two qualities I look for in a garment during the infamous transitional period. Wear it solo while the weather remains moderate, or pair it with a long sleeve button down when the temperature begins to drop.
 

 
With the temperature lingering in the mid 60’s, I dressed this pom pom sweater with a faux suede skirt. Being a one-size-fits all piece, expect the fit to be a bit boxy. For that reason, I went with a fitted mini skirt. It is always a good idea to balance out your ensemble with a fitted top and loose bottom or vice versa. When the winter weather officially rolls in, I’ll most likely swap the skirt for green skinny jeans. How’s that for a versatile item?!

There is something so tropical about printed bottoms and an off-the-shoulder combination. It reminds me of hula dancing on the beach (insert laughing emoji). While you will not catch me doing that any time soon, you can expect to find me in different variations of the ensemble mentioned above. The a-line silhouette is a personal favorite. Naturally, I was excited when I found this corduroy a-line skirt, as it is in a fabulous fall hue and it reminds me of the denim skirt that I showcased here. The high-waisted cut is perfect for pairing with crop tops. That is where the Elliptical Lyric Chartreuse Long Sleeve Crop Top comes into play. A huge fan of contrasting colors, I decided to experiment with color-blocking for this look. I polished off the ensemble with fringe embellished ankle boots, and greenish-blue jewelry.

If you’re on the hunt for a flattering skirt, stop the search and turn to a good ol’ a-line skirt. Fitted around the hips, then gently flaring at the hemline, feel good flaunting your curves in one of these things. No wonder they’ve been around since the 1960’s…Although a fan of most a-line garments, I was particularly enamored with this faux leather one. Navy blue is a great transitional color, and considering it is already the last day of August, there is no better time to start thinking fall attire! For this reason alone, I debuted my new fringe booties for this look! Going for a chic vibe, I tucked in a sleeveless turtleneck and polished off the ensemble with a multicolored bib necklace.
