There are a lot of things to consider when dressing for a wedding. To begin, check the forecast. There is nothing worse than over heating or freezing your behind off. Second of all, research the venue. Is the space dressy or casual? Will you be indoors or outdoors? What is the terrain? Will your stiletto heels sink in the grass? It sounds like a lot of work, but if you were invited to the wedding then the bride and groom are either relatives or good friends of yours. Regardless, do not test your luck. Stay clear of all things white. I often dress in jewel tones and so far so good. But even if your color choice is limited, it does not mean you should dress untrue to you. Rather than a statement garment, gravitate towards accessories. In other words, do not show up wearing an avant-garde dress with leg-o’-mutton sleeves. Keep the dress and/or skirt simple, and go all out with the shoes, jewelry or hair.
