I always have faith in Seychelles when it comes to ankle boots. Faithful in taupe is just dreamy. The metallic heel is perfection. Let me put it to you this way, what can’t you wear neutral colored booties with?! Picture these kicks with colored denim and a poncho sweater. Or a faux suede skirt and blanket scarf. I don’t know about you, but “olive” an affordable and versatile number! The Closet Renovation Olive Green Suede Lace-Up Dress from lulus is incredibly soft and only $49! If olive isn’t your color, it also comes in navy. Rock this thing with nude pumps, and flashy gold jewelry on a date night, or tone it down a notch with a pair of booties. For today’s look, I styled this dress with leopard print ankle boots. I always try to mix things up a bit when I am working with a solid color – the animal print was just enough. I further accessorized with a walnut open-knit sweater, a gold tassel cuff, and my favorite army green clutch.

If you live outside of California, pair this dress with a poncho and tall boots for added warmth. The checkered poncho from last week’s post actually matches perfectly. Thank you for your readership and thank you for being you!

According to Nancy Rooney, owner and buyer of Current Clothing, denim skirts were all over fashion market. Although I could hardly believe it when I got the “what’s trending report,” these jean bottoms really are popping up in all shapes and colors. While out and about over the weekend, I came across minis and midis, distressed and stonewashed, fitted and a-line jean skirts. Easy to style for year-round wear, I jumped at the chance to wear my button-front denim skirt from H&M, with a lightweight top, while the temperature remained moderate in San Francisco. Keeping it casual this time around, I tucked in a white shirt and rocked my go-to fringe booties. I accessorized the look with a brown hat, stone necklace, and fabulous flower earrings.

Just like your favorite pair of jean pants, think of all the different ways you could wear a jean skirt. Add one to your fall wardrobe and thank me later…and if it is the one pictured above, order one size up – it runs small.

Mules have made a comeback. I am particularly enamored with the “Propaganda 2” in pink. It could pass for a neutral and the light brown heel matches with both black and chocolate brown garments. Everyone could use a versatile shoe like these beauts.

You know I cannot say enough about these fringe rain boots, and I didn’t think they could get any better until I discovered the green and tourmaline pair last night. Talk about adding some color to your otherwise gray day…rock these things with and you’ll have heads turnin’.

Platforms of every type are gaining in popularity. The “Tasely Sandals” are right up my alley. Comfortable enough to wear all day, yet the 1.5 inch “flatform” is just enough of a height booster. Not to mention the gold perforated heel…just gorgeous.
