Levi’s Stadium (the San Francisco 49ers stadium) is home to Superbowl 50. Over the next week, football themed events and concerts are taking place throughout the city. Guess who is going to the Metallica concert Saturday night?! This girl! While I do not leisurely head-bang to heavy metal music, my hubby often listens to Metallica in the OR – to each his own. Head-banger or not, it happens to be the perfect occasion to rock my Super Bowl outfit. Sports memorabilia can be ladylike when paired with the right accent pieces, that is why I styled this tee with sequined shorts, and a peplum leather jacket. There is nothing more feminine than sparkles and a fit and flare silhouette! I accessorized with a bejeweled football-shaped cocktail ring, and a floppy hat – both available at Jest Jewels. Polishing off the look with a pink lip, ready or not, here I come!

I cannot stress enough the importance of accessorizing. Maybe I am preaching to the choir, but this look perfectly demonstrates how the right add-ons can transform a look. In all seriousness, without the pom pom beanie this outfit would be lacking pizzaz! When creating this look, I started out with a cute black and gold striped tee. Going for an edgy vibe, I paired the top with black distressed jeans – my answer for everything lately. While there is nothing wrong with jeans and a tee, I took it up a notch, incorporating a cape blazer into the mix. These toppers are quite possibly the chicest pieces of the season. Further embellishing the outfit with a tassel necklace, gold jewelry, and a taupe handbag, it is safe to say this black on black ensemble went from bland to fab in a matter or seconds.

It would not be New Year’s Eve without sequins and sparkles. Over the last decade the holiday season has truly become the “glitter season.” Last year I rung in 2015 in a metallic peplum top, but this year is officially a dress year. A bodycon midi is the perfect balance if comfort is a priority. The hip hugging silhouette shows off your curves, while the below the knee length keeps things classy. This glittery dress from Ambiance is classic with a twist, thanks to the mesh back and side paneling. When styling a statement piece, you do not want to over do it with accessories. That is why I paired this dazzler with matching t-strap sandals. To accentuate the gold and silver print, I stacked up some pewter bracelets, put on rhinestone earrings, and rocked a pair of gold 2016 glasses.
