Black and gold is a reliable combo because it can go dressy or casual and is suitable for wear all year round. This ensemble is what I refer to as feminine with an edge. The polka dot top flaunts my girly side while the studded booties bring out my edgy side. It is all about balance! If you “have a friend” who takes the phrase, “man’s best friend” as seriously as I do, be a hero and gift her a Friendshipcollar. You won’t regret it.

If you’ve been hiding under a rock, and you’re new to this trend, now’s the time to ride the glitter bandwagon!     As a natural sequin lover, when I came across these black hot pants, they were coming home with me. Although technically capri length, they fit me like cropped ankle length trousers…score! Featuring an exposed back zipper, pair these dazzlers with a crop top, or tuck in a traditional button down blouse. On this special occasion, I styled these pants with a white peplum button down shirt. Keep in mind, when you’re working with a statement piece, sometimes simplicity is key.     I accessorized this look with goodies straight out of this month’s Rocksbox (see promo below). The rhinestone necklace helped balance out my upper half, while the light pink Kendra Scott earrings added a sweet feminine touch. As a natural sequin lover, when I came across these black hot pants, they were coming home with me. Although technically capri length, they fit me like cropped ankle length trousers…score! Featuring an exposed back zipper, pair these dazzlers with a crop top, or tuck in a traditional button down blouse. On this special occasion, I styled these pants with a white peplum button down shirt. Keep in mind, when you’re working with a statement piece, sometimes simplicity is key.
