No matter how many people you are cooking for, setting the table takes time. Why devote valuable minutes to folding napkins and stacking plates, Thanksgiving morning, when you could be turkey brining or taste testing your side dishes?   Setting the table is like putting together an outfit. It doesn’t matter if you are matching a pair of pants with a blouse, or napkin rings and plate chargers, the same principles apply! I decided to keep it simple this year and add only a few seasonal trinkets and name cards, to the table. I swear crystal glasses somehow make the beverage that you are drinking taste better! There are not enough occasions to get fancy and drink wine out of crystal stemware…so do it up this year.
