The summer is coming to an end. It’s time to start packing away the brights in exchange for autumn hues. Shopping for fall essentials can be a bit of a challenge during the infamous “transitional” period. Maybe it’s still too hot for a sweater where you live. For your shopping convenience, I have complied a collection of items suitable for fall and they’re all on my wish list. Surprise surprise!

Mixed Prints and Embroidery

Embroidered garments remain hot and they’re available for wear from head to toe. How about this darling sweater with floral embroidery?! For only $44, jazz up your all black ensemble with this pretty little thing. Speaking of, never have I ever seen a better looking pair of cropped pants. I am not sure what I love more: the leather or the ruffle (insert heart eyes emoji)!

Statement Sleeves and Leather

In all seriousness, who doesn’t love a good statement sleeve? It sounds dramatic but sleeves matter! They have the potential to transform an ok top into a knockout. This black bell sleeve top is the perfect example! Picture this stunner underneath a vest or with a hot leather skirt. Need I say more?! I didn’t think so! Polish off the look with a fringe shoe because oh yeah, that trend isn’t going anywhere either.

Cropped Denim: The New “It” Thing

Whether you like it or not, cropped denim is the new “it” thing. It is amazing how much a fashion staple like blue jeans evolve over time. Sometimes for better and sometimes for worse. So how do you wear this style? Allow me to explain.

Start with Black

When styled correctly, cropped denim can be very flattering. But, if you are on the fence about this new trend, start with basic black! Black jeans are slimming, flattering, and easy to style. I opted for a fringe hem pair.

Wear Booties

Take advantage of the opportunity to show off your new booties…without cuffing your jeans! Honestly, that is what I am the most excited about. I do not remember the last time I bought a pair of pants without having to hem them. I bought this embroidered bootie from Sole Society and receive endless compliments every time I wear it. It would be a shame to hide shoes like this underneath full length flare leg pants!

Shake things up

When you are experimenting with a new style, don’t be afraid to shake things up a bit. I accomplished this with accessories and a plaid jacket. Statement belts are also trending. You have probably already noticed your favorite fashionistas buckling up in chunky belts. Hop on the bandwagon! Finally, Consider topping your ensemble with a contrasting jacket or coat. Mixing prints is a great way to jazz things up and a black and white pattern is a safe choice.

There are some things in life that you need and there are others that you want. Consider a reliable wristwatch a closet necessity! Aside from the aesthetically pleasing advantages of wearing a watch, there are many practical benefits as well. We live in an era where we use our phones for everything – including checking the time. While I am thankful for the workhorse housed in my purse, it is FULL of distractions. My productivity has significantly increased since switching from my phone’s clock to a wristwatch. I am confident that you would experience the same wonderful thing.

Black and gold is edgy, so I pieced together the edgiest items I could find in my wardrobe. A chocker, a black cold shoulder blouse, frayed black denim, and embroidered booties.
