When traveling by air, it is important to pack smart. You definitely do NOT have all the room in the world. Straw bags are great items to include because they are useful for more than one purpose. They make a great carry-on bag, a hella stylish beach bag, and a cute daytime purse. If fashionable and functional are important qualities to you, then here is what you should look for in a straw bag. A large interior space will get you from the plane to the beachside while an inside zip pocket will give you a safe place to store your most valuable belongings. Now that you know what to look for in a straw bag, let’s talk about where to shop for one.

These novelty items can be pricey. But it doesn’t mean you have to break the bank to own one. Straw is straw is straw and many stores that specialize in fast fashion carry straw bags. I purchased mine last year for less than $50 at Forever 21. Check out this year’s tassel version here! As you can see, this bag is 100% straw, has a great interior space and a side zip pocket. Now before you ask, my two-piece set is from Current Clothing. Unfortunately it sold out faster than I could blog about it.
