Leopard Print Sweater

As a fashion ambassador, I am always on the hunt for trendy boutiques online. If you’re in the market for stylish basics and comfortable tops, ShopPinkBlush is where it’s at!

The one area that is lacking in my wardrobe is the tops department. I often hoard statement pieces and dresses, making it interesting when it is simply a top and jeans kind of night. I was very happy to add this lightweight leopard sweater to my meager collection of tops. The lightweight composition makes it easy for layering, and the long length is suitable for skinnies or leggings. On this occasion I styled this leopard top with a pair of burgundy skinny jeans. If you’re not a fan of colored jeans, black would work too. I topped it off with a faux fur vest to create an interesting contrast, and laced up my chocolate brown boots with the fur. Too much fur or never enough?!

Chevron Shirt

Chevron is like the print that keeps on giving. From tapestries, drinkware, to apparel, this pattern is everywhere. Here is how I styled my latest zigzag find.

The Glamorous Chevron and On Knit Top from Nasty Gal throws back to the 1970’s, and the orangey-brown hues make it the perfect fall piece. Featuring a mock-neck, and cropped fitted bodice, this little thing was made for high-waisted bottoms. With the temperatures dropping in San Francisco, I paired this top with high-waisted denim pants, although I originally planned to wear a high-rise denim skirt. I incorporated a boho leather and silver belt to create a smooth transition from top to bottom and layered up with a faux fur vest. I completed the look with a pair of mustard statement earrings and my new “boots with the fur” from ShoeDazzle.

City Girl Takes the Country

Over the weekend I had the pleasure of attending the 95th annual Far Hills Race Meeting. This event is regarded as a premier steeplechasing showcase across the Tri-state area. Although I spent most of my youth in CT, it never worked out for me to attend. Well, 2015 was my year and it was quite the experience. The tailgating is festive and the races are entertaining, but the fashion is fabulous! It is all about the outfit. Typically preppy with an equestrian flair, just look up #farhillsracefashion on Instagram and you’ll see what I mean.

This city gal took the country in stride with a bohemian-inspired look! Knowing it would be chilly, I took advantage of the occasion to rock some faux fur. I paired my brown faux fur vest with high-waisted paisley pants from h&m – mixing prints for the second time this week. Although pictured with a long sleeve knit top, on race day, I wore a cropped sweater for added warmth. I polished off the look with black and brown rhinestone earrings, tassel booties, and an obligatory floppy hat.
