I find this hue rather versatile as it pairs nicely with brown or black accents. For this occasion I mixed in a little bit of both, toting around a cognac fringe backpack and rocking multicolored open toe booties. I adorned myself with jewelry to give the look some character. Specifically a cobalt blue necklace and a dainty knuckle ring that I received in this month’s Rocksbox. Again, one of the easiest ways to create pop is to work with complimentary colors (e.g. orange and blue).

If you’re on the fence about adding a backpack to your collection of handbags, keep this in mind. This backpack is suitable for a variety of activities and you’re guaranteed a ton of compliments. In the past week or so, I’ve used it: to carry my belongings while biking over the Golden Gate Bridge, as a grocery bag, and of course as a good ol’ purse.
