I probably sound like a broken record, but chokers are HOT, and the Adelyn Neck Cuff is one of the sharpest I’ve seen! This lovely necklace sits pretty on its own, but works as an easy layering piece as well. Whether you rock it with an off the shoulder top or a steamy LBD, this choker will accent your neckline beautifully.

The Talia Earrings in Gray Granite are the perfect mix of girly and edgy. The pink metal softens the blackish gray tones, while the glitzy stones stun in their settings. Hanging about 2.5 inches long, these earrings will make a statement without even trying. I’m thinking a blush blouse with black jeans…

That is exactly why I rocked this knit fringe number over the weekend. If you are in the market for a swimsuit coverup, spring dress, or spring sweater, this piece can pass for all of those things. Not bad for $34.99! Please keep in mind that I am 5 feet tall so it fits me more like a dress. Anyway, I slipped a full length cami underneath it and kept the styling simple with taupe platform mules. Because no outfit is complete without the right accessories, I added a pop of color by incorporating turquoise earrings, and hanging a colorful scarf off of my purse. The old scarf trick is a fashion hack worth taking note of.

Begin by identifying the focal point of the ensemble. In this case the chartreuse shirt is the main focus. After that, think complimentary colors (opposites on the color wheel) to help you choose a contrasting hue. Although chartreuse is not on the color wheel, yellow is, so I went with turquoise, a shade of blue.

Next, embellish the look with a bold print. Be sure to pick a pattern inclusive of both the focus color, and the complimentary color. I chose an infinity scarf to dress up the top, but a purse would have had a similar effect. Take it one step further with jewelry, like the turquoise earrings and ring pictured here.

Finally, incorporate neutral accents to ensure a polished look. In this instance I paired this top with gray jeans to avoid introducing yet another shade of blue into the mix. I followed suit by wearing simple nude pumps, and toting a tan purse.

As a natural sequin lover, when I came across these black hot pants, they were coming home with me. Although technically capri length, they fit me like cropped ankle length trousers…score! Featuring an exposed back zipper, pair these dazzlers with a crop top, or tuck in a traditional button down blouse. On this special occasion, I styled these pants with a white peplum button down shirt. Keep in mind, when you’re working with a statement piece, sometimes simplicity is key.

I accessorized this look with goodies straight out of this month’s Rocksbox (see promo below). The rhinestone necklace helped balance out my upper half, while the light pink Kendra Scott earrings added a sweet feminine touch. Incorporating blush back into the mix, I polished off the ensemble with my favorite metallic clutch by Urban Expressions.

Who doesn’t love a cozy sweater to curl up in on a crisp autumn day?! Especially when it is one that you can take from day to night. The poncho sweater, my friends, is a must-have item. One afternoon while scrolling through my Instagram feed, I came across the cute online boutique, Jess Lea.
