There is no better item to have on hand for a spontaneous occasion. Having a collection of varying lengths will provide you with even more options when you’re in an outfit pickle.

This feather hem dress is a playful take on the traditional LBD. You cannot help but crack a smile while wearing this little thing. Featuring a mock neck and long sleeve design, this item is perfect for your fall functions and can take you through the winter equally as well. I’m thinking fishnets and a fur caplet once the weather permits! For this occasion I dressed this piece with my go-to ladylike accessories: pearls. I chose a long beaded necklace to detract from the waistline – bands at the waist are not my favorite. Anyway, I polished off the look with none other than leopard feather sandals. What do you think? Versatile

It is a lot easier to justify a purchase when you know you are getting a lot out of it. When it comes to a fur vest, you are getting a statement piece, and a layering piece. In the featured ensemble, the vest is what makes the outfit pop. In all honesty, this dress would have been a little too plain without the addition of the vest. When I am not using this item as an accessory, I am using it to layer and keep warm. There is nothing cozier than bundling up in fur anything on a brisk autumn day.

Coverage

Perhaps the best reason to invest in a fur vest is because it can provide added coverage during times of need. The last time I styled this piece, I wore it over a sheer crop top. While I am attracted to all things sheer and cropped, I was a lot more confident hittin’ the streets with an extra layer of coverage. The same goes for bodycon skirts and dresses. Maybe you’re a fan of the item but you’d rather shield your assets. A fur vest came come to the rescue!

Glamourous

There is something so prestigious about fur garments. The first thing that comes to mind are the affluent women of Pacific Heights stepping out of their luxury cars in the 1960’s covered up in fur jackets and stoles. The good news is you do not have to drive a fancy vehicle or spend an arm and a leg to look just as glamorous! With an abundant assortment of faux fur clothing on the market today, a faux fur vest is a simple yet effective way to take your ensemble from a seven to a 10.

If a banana print romper does not scream fun, I don’t know what does! As if a lemon peplum top was not playful enough. One of the reasons I look forward to the summer is because it’s onesie weather. Sounds funny but these silly little playsuits are easy to wear and take the guesswork out of creating an ensemble. Yay for saving time and dress-stess! Not to mention they are suitable for a variety of occasions.

A simple cloth jumper like this is great for Sunday Funday at Off the Grid, in the Presidio, or a casual brunch date with your gal pals. Either way, you’ll be the best dressed with little to no effort with a print like this! I synched the waist with a black belt creating a more feminine shape. A quick fix for a garment that’s a little too big. I kept the fun going with black knee high gladiator sandals. Finally, I polished off the look with retro Karen Walker sunnies that I rented from DITTO (click here for the deets).
