Who would have thought that jammies would become acceptable daytime wear?! When shopping for fashionable pajamas, keep the following in mind: material, print, and cut. Stay away from busy cotton fabrics. You do not want it to look like you just rolled out of bed. A tailored top and bottom will hold its shape better. This set from Asos is not your average pair of pjs, although it’s just as comfortable as ’em! Each piece is crafted beautifully top to bottom. From the neck tie to the intricate button detail, this blouse is stellar with or without its matching counterpart.

Depending on the choice of shoes, this outfit can be worn dressy or casual. If flats are an option, wear it with these and throw an embellished jean jacket over your shoulders. I am more comfortable in high heels so I paired my fashionable pajamas with glitter pumps and a little pink coat. Pink is the new khaki! This coat proved its versatility as it matched with everything in my suitcase.

This dynamic duo is currently on sale at H&M for under $40. No that is not a typo! It was love at first sight when I laid eyes on this stunner. The black and white embroidery is just gorgeous and the fit is even better. The ultra high waist slims your frame at the right spot then tapers down into a flowing skirt. Maybe it is the riverside setting, but these matching coordinates might just be my all-time favorite.

I styled this look very simply. I wanted to keep the black and white theme going on so I laced up my knee-high gladiators and toted a beaded bucket bag. The embroidery on the purse is just different enough than on the top, that it creates an aesthetically appealing contrast and dimension. I rocked wood jewelry with this ensemble…it just seemed to go and natural wood is a neutral hue in my book.

You cannot visit good ol’ Canton without a trip to Collinsville. Whether you’re grabbing a bite at LaSalle, or you’re out for a jaunt along the walking trail, this downtown area epitomizes the phrase, “Small Town USA.” Obviously I needed a picturesque outfit to go along with the picturesque setting! That is where the eyelash lace comes to play. Eyelash lace is very regal. This fine fabric has become a popular embellishment, and brands like For Love & Lemons and Free People often resort to this adornment. When I tried this look on for my mom she said, “Free People could put a tag on this and sell it as theirs!” She would be correct minus the hefty price tag. This set is barely over $40! Who’s excited?!

This ensemble makes a statement in and of itself. Not only is it a majestic look, but the fit is worth discussing! If you are looking for a way to instantly elongate the appearance of your legs, this skirt will do it. The built-in short shorts and sheer maxi skirt overlay will give you the boost you’ve always admired. Five inch heels won’t hurt either…I kept the accessories to a minimum because I did not want to take away from the overall look. I am already looking forward to rocking this outfit in the California sunshine.

Matching coordinates are no different then rompers or jumpsuits. They require little to no effort on your part. There is something so chic about them and you essentially get three outfits in one because you do not have to wear them all together. When styling a crop top and matching bottom, keep things classy by making sure the bottom piece is high-waisted and covers your belly button.

 
While I dabbled with high heels, and a cape, I ultimately dressed this look down…surprising I know! Instead, I topped this two-piece set with a distressed denim jacket. Similar to your go-to pair of jeans, a denim jacket will match with nearly everything under the sun! I polished off the look with white accents – earrings and sandals. Sale Alert: These flats are on sale for $8 at Payless and also available in black and rose gold. Get ’em while you can!

P.S. I have had a lot of people ask me about the blue on my nails. It is called “Starstruck,” a gel nail color by Perfect Match! Aside from it being festive, I loved it because it has iridescent sparkles mixed in it.
