This two piece dress speaks for itself. The bold print and full skirt create show stopping DRAMA. For a petite woman, full skirts can have a swallowing effect. But what I realized after wearing this one is that a drop-waist is key. It hugs your frame before tapering out. For your reference, I am wearing a small and I did not have to shorten the skirt before wearing it. Instead, I opted to wear four inch high heel sandals. Who would have thought that jammies would become acceptable daytime wear?! When shopping for fashionable pajamas, keep the following in mind: material, print, and cut. Stay away from busy cotton fabrics. You do not want it to look like you just rolled out of bed. A tailored top and bottom will hold its shape better. This set from Asos is not your average pair of pjs, although it’s just as comfortable as ’em! Each piece is crafted beautifully top to bottom. From the neck tie to the intricate button detail, this blouse is stellar with or without its matching counterpart.

Depending on the choice of shoes, this outfit can be worn dressy or casual. If flats are an option, wear it with these and throw an embellished jean jacket over your shoulders. I am more comfortable in high heels so I paired my fashionable pajamas with glitter pumps and a little pink coat. Pink is the new khaki! This coat proved its versatility as it matched with everything in my suitcase.

You already know I am a huge fan of two-piece sets because they take the thinking out of getting dressed. This tomato red pair, by findersKEEPERS, is simply chic. The fitted crop top features a wrap front detail and exposed back zipper, making it a great standalone piece also. Picture this stunner with white high-waisted flare leg jeans. I stuck to basics this time around and styled it with matching trouser shorts. The front pleated design and exposed zipper add just enough oomph to an otherwise basic bottom.

Accessorizing with a solid ensemble is like the start of a new painting – the options are endless. Here is how you can transform a sophisticated look into an eclectic one. Begin with a funky pair of shoes. I chose gladiators because you can never go wrong with a black wedge. Now when it comes to jewelry, always remember, the funkier the chunkier. Knee-high lace-up sandals and dainty jewels do not go together – save the pearls for when you wear your pumps. The Vanessa Mooney necklace and cuff were the right mod additions, and the pop of turquoise was an added bonus. Red and turquoise will forever remain one of my favorite color combos.

I have become a big fan of matching separates. They are as polished as a one-piece, yet there is something so chic about them. Plus, you are essentially getting three looks in one – I think we all appreciate that. If you follow me on Instagram, then you might recognize this fab pink print. Boy am I glad you all encouraged me to buy both items! This might just be my all time favorite Valentine’s Day outfit.

Leave it to H&M to carry such a beautiful outfit at an even more beautiful price point. For less than $75, he won’t be able to keep his hands to himself – I guarantee it! These jacquard knit stunners feature a bubbly pink pattern, with a contrasting blue trim (yay for mixed prints!). Aside from the aesthetics, the fit is dreamy. Six course meal? No problem! Although we’ve all dressed in loose clothes just for that reason, there is no need to worry about it in this ensemble. The thick material and high waist will suck it all in.

Less is more when you are working with a statement piece. For that reason I styled this look simply with a matching metallic pink clutch, iridescent earrings, and nude pumps. It would not be Valentine’s Day without some hugs and kisses! Thanks Starbucks for turning my beverage into a fashion accessory. You might be rolling your eyes and thinking “another two-piece set,” but hear me out! You cannot take a well-fitting suit for granted. So when I came across this beauty, featuring shorts instead of pants, it was a no-brainer to go ahead and add it to my collection of matching separates. My only regret was not finding this wardrobe staple before the 4th of July. Anyway, with a few business casual events coming up on the calendar, I knew this would be the perfect chic look. This time around, going for a tres classique look, I tucked in an ivory cami although an ivory crop top would have worked too. Staying true to the blue and ivory color scheme, I embellished the ensemble with a chunky pearl necklace, and nude patent leather pumps.

You can never go wrong sticking to neutrals, but the next time around, I’m thinking bright red! How cute would this have been over the 4th of July with red pumps and a red lip?! If you are attending a trendy affair in the near future, order this suit while supplies last!

If you cannot already tell, I am a big fan of matching coordinates. Throw in some colorful culottes, and I’m sold. This set speaks for itself and is less than $40 from Forever 21! The fashionable crop top is well-tailored and oh so feminine. The culottes are lightweight and printed in the prettiest paisley. When you’re not in the mood to match, style these pieces as separates with your go-to white bottoms or tank. In the ensemble below, I accessorized in navy and ivory jewelry and nude wedges. I toted around a jean jacket, and felt hat just in case the fog rolled in over the bay. Next time, I’ll switch out the wedges and jean jacket for black sandals and a blazer, and head out for Happy Hour!
