How does a California girl dress for a day in the swamp? In lightweight clothing, of course! Living in San Francisco, for the past three years, has turned me into a fair weather snob. It is safe to say that my tolerance for heat and humidity is nonexistent. As demonstrated here and here, I dressed for the tropics, during my Louisiana tour.

I decked out in another two-piece set, but this time, a skirt and top combo from Current Clothing. This look is a knock-off of the popular label, Faithful The Brand. Constructed out of a cotton and gauze blend, this pair was perfect for the swamp-like conditions. I styled the look with a boho tassel necklace, my go-to gladiator sandals, and a black floppy hat. Prepared for the sun to go down, I carried a black fringe jacket just in case.

Now what do you wear in the desert, you may ask? I started out in this travel attire, then transitioned into lighter weight ensembles as the temperature began to rise. This white two-piece set being one of them. When I came across this little number at Current Clothing, it had Sedona written all over it. Between the beautiful red rock formations and strong Navajo influence, I had a funny feeling the tassels and Southwestern design would fit right in with the city scene.

One of the reasons I love to travel with matching separates is because they can make a statement in and of themselves. Less accessories to carry equals a lighter suitcase! I stuck with gold jewelry, rocked a black fringe jacket (last seen here) as the sun went down, and polished off the look with denim wedge sandals. You might be rolling your eyes and thinking “another two-piece set,” but hear me out! You cannot take a well-fitting suit for granted. So when I came across this beauty, featuring shorts instead of pants, it was a no-brainer to go ahead and add it to my collection of matching separates. My only regret was not finding this wardrobe staple before the 4th of July. Anyway, with a few business casual events coming up on the calendar, I knew this would be the perfect chic look. This time around, going for a tres classique look, I tucked in an ivory cami although an ivory crop top would have worked too. Staying true to the blue and ivory color scheme, I embellished the ensemble with a chunky pearl necklace, and nude patent leather pumps.

You can never go wrong sticking to neutrals, but the next time around, I’m thinking bright red! How cute would this have been over the 4th of July with red pumps and a red lip?! If you are attending a trendy affair in the near future, order this suit while supplies last!

You might remember the blue two-piece crochet dress from Current Clothing featured on KK and GG a couple of weeks back…let me introduce you to my most current find, a lace fringe crop top and matching bottoms. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, matching coordinates are great pieces to invest in because you get more than one look out of them – wear them together one day, wear them apart the next. In the ensemble below, I decided to wear the shirt and shorts together and get my fringe on! I accessorized with a slate gray stone necklace and a pewter clutch purse, although I must give proper credit to my taupe “Fringly” sandals. They definitely made the outfit complete! I am already looking forward to another occasion to rock this top with a pair of stone wash wide leg jeans, some chunky bangles and a floppy hat.
