The 2018 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale has officially begun and there is no better time to snag fall essentials at rock bottom prices. You can preview the sale items here, but you can order now if you are a Nordstrom card holder. If you find it difficult to shop for autumn in the middle of the summer, I got your back. For your shopping convenience, I’ve rounded up all of my sale picks and 90% of the items are under $100.

Blush Basics

Thank goodness blush is continues to dominate because I am not ready to retire it! Consider swapping the white denim for blush this fall. Make this rosey hue pop with metallic accents and printed outerwear. A gold bootie is always a good idea!

Bodysuits for the Win

What did we do before bodysuits were a “thing?” These garments make wearing skirts so much easier. They eliminate all of the excess bulk. Add a little edge to your skirt and bodysuit combo this fall with a textured sock bootie. I own the camo print version of this boot and they are just as comfortable as they are stylish.

Back to Faux Fur

Faux fur remains a hot commodity for the fall and this yellow and white jacket is my favorite item included in the 2018 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. I like that it can add some flair to your evening wear, or totally dress up a pair of jeans. Versatility is always something that I will get behind!

Wish List Wednesday: Nordstrom Sale Picks

If you are just finding out about the Nordstrom sale, the good news is you have another 10 days to shop it! The bad news however, is that you missed out on a week’s worth of goodies. Anyway, last week I rounded up fall essentials for you all, but this week I am all about accessories and activewear. Below are a few deals and steals currently on my wish list.

How many times have you run into Sephora “just for a lipstick” and come out with a whole new cosmetics collection?! Yeah, that is what I thought! It is nearly impossible to enter a beauty goods store without purchasing a handful of exciting new items. That is why I am encouraging you to take advantage of the rock bottom prices during the Nordstrom Sale. Now is the time to experiment with new products from the brands you already love. I am eyeing Bobby Brown’s “Sultry Bronze” eye set…love me a brown smokey eye!

I don’t know about you, but when I piece together an ensemble from scratch, I begin with a top or bottom then accessorize accordingly. While I am a firm believer in dressing up your outfit with jewelry and purses, sometimes I feel like they get the short end of the stick. What I mean by that is that we often spend most of our disposable income on the essentials (shirts and pants) then worry about adorning ourselves later. Take full advantage of the Nordstrom sale and stock up on versatile bags and clutches. I’m in love with this fringe Rebecca Minkoff backpack…

Activewear is one of those items that gets worn over and over again. I definitely have a rotation going of my five favorite tops and five favorite bottoms. Get excited because there are some hot new athletic fashions marked down this week. I have been dying to give the mesh thing a try and I’m more likely to take a style risk when I don’t have to pay full price for it. Aside from pants and racerback tops, you’ll be pleasantly surprised to find lightweight parkas and long sleeve toppers as well. If you needed a little Hump Day motivation to get to the gym, hopefully this will do the trick.

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

It’s here! Unless you are lucky enough to own a Nordstrom debit or credit card, then you have been counting down the days until the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale opens to the public, like the rest of us. Well the day has arrived and there is no better time to stock up on fall essentials then now. Even though it might seem a little bit odd to put summer on hold temporarily, man up because you’ll be kicking yourself when you wish you had bought those skinny jeans or booties at a rock bottom price. I have done my best to round up some fall essentials that you should be on the look out for during your #NSale shopping outing.

Booties

Booties make for great transitional pieces during that awkward outfit period between summer and fall. If you do not yet own a reliable pair, look for a neutral pair. Pay attention to details such as the hardware (I always prefer gold to silver) and heel height. If you want an everyday pair, go with a shorter heel – vice versa. Below are a few styles to suit the needs of all wardrobe types.

Jeans

During the summer we have endless options. Flaunt your sun-kissed legs in a skirt, shorts, or dress. The cooler it gets, the slimmer the options. Stock up on go-to denim. I suggest colored skinnies or white…that old rule about not wearing white after Labor Day is a thing of the past. It looks so crisp against those orange-y fall hues. Checkout my top jean picks.

Tops

If there is one thing that is lacking in my wardrobe, it is tops! The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is the perfect opportunity to snag a few tops that are easy to layer with. One of my favorite fall happy hour looks is a solid tee, topped with a blazer, a statement necklace (of course!), jeans, and booties. Between a few basic shirts, and a couple of button-downs, you’ll be ready to roll come the end of September. Shop my fall faves here.
