Being petite means you have a very good relationship with the neighborhood tailor. It also means you are an expert high heel wearer, and that bodysuits NEVER fit. Well, well, well…Express has an answer for everything and for that I will forever be grateful. Bodysuits…check! Dress pants…check! Jackets…check! I have a love/hate relationship with jeans. Their touted for being comfortable and easy to wear, but they hardly ever fit me straight of the box. I am a pro at cuffing my denim – luckily cropped jeans are “in” this season. Petite gals rejoice because the jeans from the Express Petite Collection are a dream come true. The ultra high waist, actually hits at the waist and the length is just right. For once the fringe hem hits at the ankle, not the ground. Hallelujah! This may be the first but it is definitely not the last time I will invest in a pair of denim from the petites collection at Express!

The Red Dress Boutique is slowly but surely becoming my go-to shop for standout pieces. This two-piece set is also from there. The prices are reasonable and I’m always able to find something that suits me. All of the product descriptions include the model’s specs so I can always tell whether or not the items will be petite-friendly. This romper is just under $60 but it fits like a designer item. The embroidery detail is simply stunning and the keyhole back adds a touch of elegance. Also available in white, if there is a bride-to-be in your life, be a hero and let her know. No need to credit me!

This romper speaks for itself. When you wear a statement piece, let it shine! Sticking to my own rules, I accessorized with simple black accents. These tassel earrings and wedge sandals perfectly fit the outfit’s vibes. Jumping at the opportunity to debut my chevron purse, I completed the look with this pretty little thing.
