Do you want to hear something shocking? For a snippet of my childhood I was a tomboy. I preferred toy trucks to Barbies and baseball outfits to dresses. I even made my mom throw me a Bart Simpson birthday party (insert laughing emoji) complete with a Bart cake. Fast forward a few years and I was wearing jelly sandals (the high heel version – duh) and getting regular manicures from an embarrassingly young age. As the girly girl in me flourished, I went through the obligatory pink stage. Everything I owned and wore was pink. I even went as far as having personalized license plates for my car that read, “Pink 1.” Well well well, not much has changed aside from my diverse color palette. But I like to think that I am a more mature version of that girl!

Wish List Wednesday: Retro Romper

This week’s rendition of Wish List Wednesday consists of styles that are hot off of the runway, starring this retro romper! I’ve had my eye on this hot item since before I left for NYFW. I guess that means it is time to buy it! I am a lover of color and these crisp fall hues are speaking to me. One of my favorite shows in the Big Apple was that of Leanne Marshall. Her color combinations are out of the ordinary. If you are wondering where my inspiration comes from, this is it! Catch a glimpse of the best show of the year (in my opinion!) below.

Another style I am itching to get into are platforms. Again, they dominated the runway and may save you a trip to the tailor. Score! From sneakers, mules, sandals, you name it, they are available in a platform version. This cognac pair is a safe way to ease your way into the trend. There is nothing crazy about ‘em minus the heel height. Petite girls rejoice!

During my visit to BAUBLEBAR HQ, it became evident that tassels are not going anywhere. If you’re in the late majority, now is the time to hop on the bandwagon! Again, start simple (this ivory pair will match with everything) then branch out. I love these frilly adornments because they effortlessly funk up your ensemble.
