I’ve had a thing for cat eye glasses ever since purchasing my first pair from Tom Ford three years ago. They are SO retro and a great way to make a statement when you are wearing an ordinary outfit. As my affection for blush continues to grow, I decided there would be no better way to rock my blush stunner shades than with a blush dress and matching shoes. Here’s to another monochromatic look!

I don’t always agree with the phrase, “less is more,” but when you are working with a monochromatic color scheme, I could not agree more! Just like a black on black look, sticking with one hue can save time and take away the stress of piecing together an outfit. Not to mention there is something so elegant about this style and monochrome pastel ensembles happen to be my favorite.

I styled this little blush dress with pearls and espadrille wedge sandals (last seen here). When you do not want to introduce another color into your outfit, pearls are always a safe choice. In this instance, they fit in perfectly with the ultra feminine theme going on. If you’re in the market for a versatile wedges, consider this pair. Blush is a neutral and a great alternative to black, brown, or cognac.

Mesh Tan and White Lace Dress

Don’t get me wrong, I am a firm believer in investing in quality pieces. But from a practical standpoint, if you are going to hand over a lot of hard earned money just for an article of clothing, make it a classic. The nude pumps photographed below are a good example…yeah the red soles up the market value but they practically match with everything and as long as my feet don’t grow or shrink, the ROI (return on investment) should be pretty good. If you’re reading this blog, then I think it’s safe to assume that you’ve heard of the brand For Love & Lemons. But if you haven’t, they are famous for their beautifully crafted lace and sheer garments. From gowns, to mini dresses, to two-piece sets, the aesthetic appeal is out of this world and the craftsmanship is superb. The only catch is, they are about $300 a pop.

Leave it to the fabulous and oh so trendy Current Clothing for carrying a gorgeous knock off of the lace and mesh mini dress! This sheer and white stunner is only $89 and suitable for any fashion forward summer soirée or even the bride-to-be. A combination of tan mesh and white lace, rock this pretty little thing solo or pair it with a cape! I can’t decide which I prefer…cape or no cape? You be the judge! I wore it both ways in the photos below, and accessorized with chunky tassel earrings, a gold and white clutch, and nude pumps. You can’t compete with a dress like this, nor should you want to…so keep the accessories light and within the same color scheme.
