The denim maxi is a wonderful alternative to your go to jean pants. I cannot speak for you, but having options frees my mind from one less thing to stress about. I am in love with this skirt because it is just as versatile as traditional jeans, yet its on a whole new level of the chic scale! Now let’s take a look at last week’s ensemble. I could easily swap the skirt for pants on a day where a dress or skirt just isn’t feasible. Would it be an acceptable outfit? Yes. Would it be terribly interesting? Not really. What a difference a little leg can make!

Today we feature the same denim maxi and the prettiest eyelet top. Now do you believe me when I say that you can style this item just as you would a pair of jean pants? Hopefully you can appreciate its utility, but if you are petite like me, there are a few things to keep in mind. Gravitate towards a skirt with a high waist and a slit if at all possible. Although a jean skirt is a great alternative to your favorite jean pants, the length and occasion should sway your choice. For example, the look on display is what I refer to as feminine edgy.
