This pair is perfect for the holiday season even if you just play dress up at home – no judgement. Finally, let’s talk about this fab pair of sunglasses: RHINESTONE FRINGE! Combat Boots

Combat boots are ALL the rage. I dabbled in this trend last year when I bought a pink patent leather pair, and have been wearing them non-stop ever since. The platform heel makes for “easy” walking – I am a self-proclaimed professional high heel wearer, but still. I love that this style of boot can go dressy or casual. They’re cute with jeans but also a great alternative to a traditional bootie. This pair from Akira is as glitzy as it gets! ]]> Out with the old, in with the NEW. I am here to reassure you that you are NOT committing a sin wearing white after Labor Day. In fact, it’s quite the opposite! There is nothing more radiant than a crisp winter white ensemble. Below are three sample looks, each with very different personalities. How would you identify yourself…Classic chill, Chic Snow Kitty, Winter Spice, or something in between?!

 

Classic Chill

The sweater dress is a wardrobe staple, and can be dressed several different ways. This look is what I refer to as, “classic with a twist.” Featuring a traditional turtleneck silhouette, the pearl frills add a modern day flair. Consider pairing this item with metallic accents like a clear and gold purse or even a pair of sequin boots! More is more especially when you’re working with a monochromatic (solid white) color scheme.

Snow Kitty Chic

Who doesn’t love a reliable onesie?! I’ve said it once and I am saying it again, rompers/jumpsuits are AWESOME because they do the thinking for you. You are off the hook coordinating an entire ensemble – simply slip it on and go! Can I get a hallelujah?! This snow leopard print jumpsuit features a plunging neckline and elegant sheen. I never thought I would say this but, I am jealous of y’all who live in a climate where fuzzy earmuffs are a necessity – not a novelty! Planning a trip to winter wonderland STAT.

Winter Spice

Add a little flavor to your winter garb with a playful bodysuit. These garments are perfect for tucking…they stay in place and do not create excess bulk in your chosen bottom! I love a sleek skirt and bodysuit combo and any chance to wear my real life glass slippers! This is my personal favorite out of the featured ensembles. I guess you can say I am spicy all year round, as this is no exception. Ha!

We all need this bodysuit! It is an instant mood booster and a great item to have on hand for the holidays. Did I really just say that?! I CANNOT believe today is the last day in October. Anyway, there are two ways to style this bodysuit…with jeans and with a skirt. Today I am all about the latter, but refer here for jean inspo (think white denim!). When styling a statement piece, consider a monochromatic scheme. This is a very simple way to coordinate an ensemble without competing with the focal point (in this case the skirt).

 

 

To me, this look resembles liquid metal…the best kind – rose gold! To prevent your monochromatic scheme from looking too uniform, consider mixing textures. The sequins, feathers, and pleats create dimension and an aesthetically pleasing effect!

From bright pink bar stools, gold hardware, to a striking neon sign, whoever designed this “haute” spot has a mean sense of style. But it is more than aesthetically pleasing…the cocktails are creative and the food is delicious. Pictured below is the lychee martini and $10 fried chicken off the happy hour menu. I am wearing the 2 petite (size up one size) and they fit me like a GLOVE. The high rise waist is ultra flattering and the flare legs will elongate the appearance of your legs. I styled them with a glitzy crop top, but I am extra and I’m proud of it! Don’t be afraid to tone them down with a sweater or classic bodysuit. Top it with a blazer for a polished 9-5 ensemble.

Call me close-minded, but if porta potties are involved, it is not my jam. If I was not so high maintenance going to attend however, I would wear this tie dye set! Hear me out.

 

 

What goes around comes around! I can still remember tying a Hanes under-shirt into a tiny little bundle inside the bathtub of my childhood home in the early 90s. Fast forward to 2019 and Kelsey Takes Tie Dye 2.0 is what I refer to as, “modern day chic!” 31 going on 13. Haha!

 

 

You already know my thoughts on biker shorts…they have the ability to be dressed gracefully and elegantly. Today’s outfit is a playful rendition on the hottest new trend. What you see here is a spandex romper and a high low top. I am always quick to cover my backside when I wear biker shorts. #BigBootyProblems. You never know what you are going to get in the summer July, weather-wise in SF. For that reason I topped off the look with a pink denim jacket.
