So, rather than paying your tailor to chop off a foot of fabric, the next time you are in the market for a maxi skirt, search for a “midi” instead. That is how I scored the Contemporary Vented-Hem Midi Skirt from Forever 21! I’ll be the first to admit that wearing maxi length anything can be a bit of a challenge, if you were blessed with a petite frame. On the other hand, I’ll also admit that maxi length garments will effortlessly elongate your figure. So, rather than paying your tailor to chop off a foot of fabric, the next time you are in the market for a maxi skirt, search for a “midi” instead. That is how I scored the Contemporary Vented-Hem Midi Skirt from Forever 21! While it hits the 5′ 9″ model at her mid calf, it falls right below my ankles.

“Olive” this piece for many reasons, the first of which is the color, obviously! The hip hugging silhouette is very flattering, and the back slit screams sassy. Thanks to the high waist, I was able to style this skirt with a Lace Yoke Cropped Top, in my new favorite neutral, blush. I accessorized with blush hues, toting a metallic rose clutch, and rose gold rhinestone earrings. If you live in a winter wonderland, top this look with a sherpa jacket and swap out the high heels for tall boots.

Pantone’s big announcement was very exciting news to me. There is something so blissful about pastels. While you’ve probably begun to notice candy-colored shades in all shapes and forms at your favorite stores, I delved right into the trend with none other than a Rose Quartz cape coat! Crafted out of a luscious microsuede, this piece will sweeten up any soft-hued ensemble. I paired this cape with winter white flare jeans and added a hint of glam through my accessories. The iridescent earrings and glitter pumps popped nicely against the pink, and the metallic clutch brought the whole look together.
