This rainbow skirt suit is not your average tweed garment – the funky colors alone make it a total standout. But the puff sleeves, crop fit, and pearl buttons are what make it STELLAR! Has your mood ever completely elevated after trying on an outfit?! Yeah, that is what happened to me when I slipped into this little thing. I already cannot wait to wear the blazer with jeans. About the Fit:
This rainbow tweed suit is petite gal friendly. I would even go as far as saying it runs small. Across the board I find ASOS Design items to run one size small. For your reference, I am five feet tall and wearing a size 2 in the skirt. I always have trouble finding jackets/blazers that fit in the shoulders (I have a narrow frame), but this one fits perfectly and I wearing the 0. Size up if you are busty, but act fast because this item will not be in stock for too long.

If you follow me on Instagram then you may recall seeing this houndstooth suit! I could not decide between blue or the mauve until you guys chose the blue for me. In case you have no idea what I am referring to, Instagram stories allows you to poll your audience! Anyway, I listened to “the people” and they chose blue. I could not be happier with it! This pretty little thing is only $55 (no that is not a typo!) and the perfect addition to your fall wardrobe. But for such a classic print this is not your average houndstooth print set. That is why I’m attracted to it. I can never resist a dramatic sleeve or fringe hem embellishment!

 
Three years ago I discovered Shrimps fashion label while perusing the internet for a jacket. If you can afford it, here is where you’ll find statement pieces GALORE. Known for their playful patterns, fabulous faux fur, and daring accessories, I have been dreaming about this pearl beaded purse for way too long! While Shrimps deserves the design credit, retailers like Shein and Miuco have finally come out with dupe versions. Let me just say, it was worth the wait! It’s easy to pack your wardrobe with the colors most commonly associated with fall. The greens, yellows, and brows. But this presents a problem if you are a lover of color, like myself. I wear a lot of vibrant hues and a lot of pink – regardless of the time of year. Rather than completely changing your color palette, consider switching up your accessories. Instead of straw, wear velvet. Or, swap the sandals altogether for a pair of booties (as seen here). It is never acceptable to sacrifice your personal style to conform to a set of rules you think you are supposed to follow. Tweaks like this make it easier to wear whatever you please 365 days a year.

This dress is not a traditional fall garment but it works in California weather! I LOVE the bright hues and statement sleeves – surprise, surprise! The mini length is great for booties and you could drape a jean jacket over your shoulders for added warmth. But if the temperature is already dropping where you live, don’t fret because there is a top available in this glorious print too. And it features an off-the-shoulder neckline. Is there anything better?! Now i just have to decide, is two garments in the same print excessive?!

Leg Coverage

One of the reasons I gravitate towards OTK boots is because they are a good compromise between too much leg and pantyhose. Maybe you want to rock a mini dress (as seen here) but you do not want to introduce another texture, stockings for example, into the mix. An over the knee boot will provide you with that moderate coverage. The same goes for short shorts and mini skirts as demonstrated in the featured look.

Chic Appeal

It is no secret that wearing a pair of OTK boots will up your chic appeal about 100%! But don’t take my word for it, just scroll through #overthekneeboots on Instagram and see for yourself. Today’s ensemble would have been far less dramatic without the shoes. Ain’t nobody got time for that!

Practical

Over the knee boots come in many colors, heel heights, and fabrics. I guess you can call them a “practical purchase!” Fashionistas world wide are wearing flat OTK boots with leggings and jeans, heeled OTK boots with dresses and skirts, and vice versa. White on white is so crisp and clean. Although I do not follow the “no white after Labor Day” rule, I probably wouldn’t wear it head to toe after the first week of September. This Alexis peplum top is dazzling in details. From the beautifully textured design, to the delicate lace trim, this piece looks like a work of art! As if you haven’t guessed already, I dressed this shirt with white jeans and nude accents, including the chicest shades on the market by Victory Optical.

Teggy rocked the coordinating dress and she killed it…surprise surprise! She has always inspired me style-wise. I never would have thought to wear this dress with a cowl neck sweater, but it totally worked. This fashion hack will come in handy during the “fog” days of summer. Sticking to the monochromatic theme, she accessorized with dainty white accents, including a classic Chanel purse and cutout sandals. My cousin is cooler than yours! She really is though…

One of the things that I love the most about fashion in 2016 is that anything goes and it is a great way of expressing YOU. If you want to wear white pants 12 months out of the year, go ahead! If you want to wear pastels outside of the spring months, no judgment here…

It is no secret that I am a lover of all things blush. When I came across the “Style Education Blush Pink Blouse, from lulus, it was a no brainer. The ultra feminine silhouette is complimented nicely by the necktie detail, and it pairs well with black or denim. I chose the latter and styled it with distressed denim. If you’re a lover of ripped jeans, do yourself a favor and order this pair! They look designer made for only $60. I accessorized with cutout sandals and a Chanel bag. Another chic casual look on the books!

High Waisted Bottoms

I would not be caught dead in a crop top without high waisted bottoms. Truthfully, I am very modest and feel the most comfortable when my midriff is covered. If you can relate, the easiest way to dress a crop top is by pairing it with high waisted bottoms. Whether in the form of shorts, pants, or a skirt, they will all get the job done. Style Tip: “High waisted” means different things to different retailers. Before venturing out for the perfect coordinate, pack the shirt in your purse.

Top it Off

Now that you have the whole cropped thing figured out, if you are feeling uneasy about the sheer fabric, begin with a lace bralette. If you can find one the same color as the top, that is ideal, but nude will also work. After trying many, this convertible bralette from Macy’s is my all-time favorite. If your admirers can see what’s under there, you might as well make it something pretty to look at! For added coverage, top off your ensemble with a vest or cape. Slowly but surely working fall pieces into my looks, I topped this outfit off with a fur vest.

Feminize

I’ve said it once and I am saying it again, feminine details make all the difference. Pearls are my go-to but pops of pink or a dainty purse will all have the same affect. I chose the latter, and rocked a turquoise Chanel bag.  Now do you believe me when I say, sheer and cropped do not have to be racy?!

Shirt with a Twist

Dresses, skirts, and jumpsuits are far more interesting than tops and jeans, if you ask me. That is why I have a sorry collection of the latter two. When I do purchase a top however, I always make sure it has funk factor. Maybe it has an off the shoulder neckline, or a peplum shape, catch my drift?! In this case, the pictured shirt is oversized and features a back slit detail.

Complimentary Jeans

When styling a boxy top, you really only have two options: skinny denim or skinny distressed denim. It is always a good idea to balance out an ensemble with an oversized upper half with fitted bottoms. There is something so aesthetically pleasing about neutrals on neutrals. That is why I paired this tan top with crisp white denim.

Layering Jewelry

Take your chic casual look to the next level with your favorite jewels. In this instance, less is NOT more. I layered with simple gold to compliment the neutral hues and wooden embellished Chanel purse. It’s amazing how the addition of a long necklace actually draws attention to the choker – that was not a typo, chokers are the “new” but old thing.
