One of the things that I love the most about fashion in 2016 is that anything goes and it is a great way of expressing YOU. If you want to wear white pants 12 months out of the year, go ahead! If you want to wear pastels outside of the spring months, no judgment here…

It is no secret that I am a lover of all things blush. When I came across the “Style Education Blush Pink Blouse, from lulus, it was a no brainer. The ultra feminine silhouette is complimented nicely by the necktie detail, and it pairs well with black or denim. I chose the latter and styled it with distressed denim. If you’re a lover of ripped jeans, do yourself a favor and order this pair! They look designer made for only $60. I accessorized with cutout sandals and a Chanel bag. Another chic casual look on the books!

It sounds ridiculous but decorative sleeves can instantly transform an ensemble from good to great! This skirt and top combination would have been far less interesting if it weren’t for the oversized sleeves. The same goes for this pom pom shirt and this tassel hem dress. Catch my drift?!

With September quickly approaching, I am slowly but surely working fall hues into my daily attire. The transitional period between summer and fall is a tricky outfit period. You do not want to dress too summery and bright, but it is still too warm to deck out in full fall weather garb. Try swapping out your blue denim for green. Or your platform sandals for suede peep toe booties.

Taking a page out of my own book, I styled this lace top with olive ripped jeans. I polished off the look with blush cutout sandals, a choker, and a bedazzled clutch purse. With an easy shoe switch and lightweight jacket, however, this outfit is autumn ready! Get your bell sleeves on!

The only time less is more is when you are working with a statement piece. You never want to complete with the garment you are trying to highlight! For the reason above, I dressed in all black underneath the featured jacket. Creating dimension with a peplum top, and drama with flare pants, who says a solid black ensemble has to be uninteresting?! Pulling two accent colors from the pattern on the jacket, I polished off the look with teal dress sandals and a red cross-body bag.

Product reviews have never been more important then they are now in the digital age! I rarely ever make an online purchase without reading at least one product review. It is the only way to get honest feedback about the size and fit. It is my job to provide you all with useful style tips and fashion hacks, so I am going to be totally honest about these pants. While I LOVE the fit and flare cut, if you have muscular legs (I like to call them Bar Method legs!), they are not for you! Sizing up will not help because the waist fits true to size. The good news is that I am already on the hunt for a similar stretchy pair. You’re welcome…!

This yellow gown will bring all of your Bollywood fantasies to life. I truly felt like an Indian princess the entire night. Covered from top to bottom in pearls and beads, no details were missed in the making of this piece. Featuring a high neck and high slit, this gown is as dramatic as it can get. I’m wearing the petite version but it is available in tall too. How convenient is that?! You can thank Maya Evening Wear and Asos for that.

With so much dazzling already going on, I accessorized with dainty emerald jewels (complimentary colors for added pop), and genuine Indian earrings. When you’re styling a piece with a thigh high slit, be considerate about the shoes. In a traditional floor length gown, your shoes will go unnoticed. But with a peek-a-boo dress like this, all eyes will be on the legs and the shoes! I went with Steve Madden’s “Slithur” sandals – I loved how the cutout shapes matched the square beading on the dress.

A special occasion calls for a special hairdo. Thanks to the lovely ladies of Beauty Entourage, our hotel room was transformed into a glam room in a matter of minutes! Cathy painted my face with a smoky eye and red lip, while Rachel whipped up a voluminous side twist. I was thrilled with my new look and was very impressed with their efficiency.

Shirt with a Twist

Dresses, skirts, and jumpsuits are far more interesting than tops and jeans, if you ask me. That is why I have a sorry collection of the latter two. When I do purchase a top however, I always make sure it has funk factor. Maybe it has an off the shoulder neckline, or a peplum shape, catch my drift?! In this case, the pictured shirt is oversized and features a back slit detail.

Complimentary Jeans

When styling a boxy top, you really only have two options: skinny denim or skinny distressed denim. It is always a good idea to balance out an ensemble with an oversized upper half with fitted bottoms. There is something so aesthetically pleasing about neutrals on neutrals. That is why I paired this tan top with crisp white denim.

Layering Jewelry

Take your chic casual look to the next level with your favorite jewels. In this instance, less is NOT more. I layered with simple gold to compliment the neutral hues and wooden embellished Chanel purse. It’s amazing how the addition of a long necklace actually draws attention to the choker – that was not a typo, chokers are the “new” but old thing.

Do not let a multicolor print intimidate you. There is no better time to rock a vibrant geometric dress than during the summertime (unfortunately this exact one is sold out but I found a similar one). You can always tone it down with accessories or jackets and other toppers if the weather permits. For example, the featured look would have looked equally as fab with a white or blue denim jacket over it. If you prefer to go unnoticed, stick with a neutral pair of shoes and matching purse.

Getting noticed comes along with the title of “Fashion Blogger.” I consider it a job well done when a stranger goes out of their way to ask me about my clothes. Rather than toning down this geometric print dress, I fed off of all the great colors and shapes! Blue, purple, and orange were three predominant colors in my eyes, so I accessorized accordingly. Never have I ever received more compliments on a pair of shoes, before! Aside from their good looks and unique color, the block heel provides all day comfort. Score!

Whether you have a ladies luncheon, or baby shower coming up, this little number or something similar would be absolutely perfect. There are a few things to remember when you are working with a circle skirt. It is easy to weigh yourself down with too much fabric and this can be particularly challenging on a petite frame. Although I do not love the idea of exposed midriff, incorporating a crop top is an easy way to balance out the midi length hem. When you are only five feet tall, the last thing you want to do is “cut off” your legs or torso at an unflattering place. A crop top will draw the eye to the waistline, effortlessly elongating the appearance of your figure (I’ll take it!). If you still feel modest, consider layering up with a statement necklace, to distract from the length of the shirt.
