When You Find a Fuchsia Hat

When you come across a colorful hat, and it actually fits your head, do yourself a favor and purchase it! Just like a marvelous scarf, the addition of a hat is another great way to transform a bland outfit into a fashion masterpiece in a matter of seconds! When I came across this fuchsia floppy hat at American Apparel, I got really excited. Not only was the color perfect, but it was a good fit and it did not break the bank. Don’t be surprised if this pretty little thing makes an appearance more than once on KK and GG!

While venturing out near Rio Vista, CA (aka the wind turbine capital!) for a summer soirée with relatives, it seemed like a rather fitting occasion to break out my fabulous find! The rest of my outfit consisted of what I like to call my “uniform.” Just like anything else in life, when you find something that works, take it and run with it. For me, that is a pair of jeans, a blouse, a statement necklace, and a blazer. In the ensemble below I styled a pair of mauve distressed skinny jeans. These chic pants can easily take the place of your traditional blue jeans – consider them a neutral. I paired a navy blouse with them and topped it off with my go-to cropped white jacket. To incorporate fuchsia back into the mix, I hung an iridescent rhinestone necklace around my neck, and threw on my favorite hot kicks.

In case you’re wondering, it was extremely windy during this shoot – hence the reason for windblown hair!

Wishlist Wednesday: Michael Kors Watch

If you’re as dependent on your wrist watch as I am, then you’re completely lost when you decide not to wear one because it doesn’t quite match your outfit. For that reason alone, I would like to introduce you to the Darci Two-Tone Watch by Michael Kors.

This two-toned beauty is what you would call the perfect everyday watch! The mixed metals (stainless steel with rose gold accents) make it easy to wear this timepiece with virtually anything in your jewelry armoire, and the pave crystal bezel allows you to mix this item right in with your fine jewels.

Now about that blue face…when it comes to fashion accesories, to me, navy blue is the best alternative to your black and white wardrobe staples. Think jeans. You pair your favorite denim with just about anything, right? The same rule applies here.

Speaking of blue, this would make for a wonderful Hanukkah gift…hint hint!

It was finally time to”turn in” my old GG phone case, for a new one for my iPhone 6 Plus.

Lululemon is one of the greatest creations on the planet. Just when you thought your Macy’s yoga pants were the most comfortable article of clothing on the market, lululemon finds a way to make them even comfier. When you’ve finally found a sports bra that actually supports the girls, lululemon launches the Ta Ta Tamer, and when you’ve finally come to grips about not being able to text while you’re wearing your favorite pair of gloves, lululemon releases a “Blissed Out” pair with tech-friendly fingers. I think you catch my drift…but the one lulu item that every woman who walks the face of the earth needs to own is the Vinyasa Scarf!

The Vinyasa Scarf will be the most versatile fashion accessory in your closet and your new BFF. They call it a scarf, but it’s more substantial than your average decorative neck wrap. Its exaggerated size and snap buttons allow you to wear it 10 different ways. My favorite variations are: the shrug, the cardigan, and the hoodie.

The shrug is great to throw on on your way to Bar Method when you don’t want your “goods” too out in the open.
