I’ve tried on sooo many of these things and 90% off the time the torso is too long. If you recall, I first styled these paper bag jeans here. I hope this look demonstrates just how versatile they are. I removed the matching belt and replaced it with my Gucci fanny pack. Yes, I said it! The fanny pack, aka “belt bag,” is the new cross body bag. In fact, many styles from the early 90’s are suddenly “cool” again. Let the fun begin when you enter 2200 Bryant Street. This space is a glamorous girl’s dream come true. A dozen vanities perfectly line the beauty counter. From there you can test product, converse with customers, or consult a Glossier expert. Featuring skincare, makeup, body and fragrance lines, prepare for lighter pocket books after a trip here. I cannot wait to try the moisturizer, and Soothing Face Mist. After all, a good base ensures a flawless finished face. In fact, Glossier products are designed to “bring out your best…the makeup becomes the fun part, not the fix.” I think we can all get behind that.

I’m not gonna lie, I stalked the internet for the perfect outfit to wear to Rhea’s Cafe. As the Californians say, this place is “hella” instagrammable. Another two piece set to the rescue…suprise, surprise! This bodycon top and skirt combo is flirty and fun. The newspaper print makes for a unique design and the long sleeves are great for springtime in San Francisco. You never know if you’ll freeze or sweat! I styled this look with a belt bag and white booties, but some chunky platforms would work too. What makeup products are you dying to try from here?!

Form Fitting Top

Mom jeans are not tight fitting. In fact, I have yet to find a pair that even stretches. When you have a lot of baggage going on below the waist, balance it out with something form fitting up top. I am so confident I would have looked like I was wearing pants three times my size had I paired a boxy t-shirt with these suckers. Consider a crop top or a tight fitting bodysuit. I chose the latter and it is only $12.90 – score!

Hot Kicks

Hot kicks go a long way. Mom jeans with sneakers on a petite frame is not a winning combination. Pair ’em with a stiletto heel and now we’re talkin’! When you are styling a garment that can potentially come off as “frumpy,” a sexy shoe is a reliable remedy. I jumped at the opportunity to wear my Christian Louboutin sequin pumps (as seen here). I think they did the trick!

Fab Belt

Ladies and gentleman, belts are back in style and I mean belts of ALL kinds. Remember those “fanny packs” we used to poke fun at. Yeah, those are now referred to as “belt bags” and homegirl is rockin’ one loud and proud (insert laughing emoji)! I must admit, it is so nice toting your belongings hands-free. But if a fanny pack is too much for you, synch your waist with a traditional belt instead. See ya on the street, hot mama!
