This feather hem dress is a playful take on the traditional LBD. You cannot help but crack a smile while wearing this little thing. Featuring a mock neck and long sleeve design, this item is perfect for your fall functions and can take you through the winter equally as well. I’m thinking fishnets and a fur caplet once the weather permits! For this occasion I dressed this piece with my go-to ladylike accessories: pearls. I chose a long beaded necklace to detract from the waistline – bands at the waist are not my favorite. Anyway, I polished off the look with none other than leopard feather sandals. What do you think? The only thing better than a maxi skirt is a mermaid maxi skirt! I could hardly contain my excitement when I laid eyes on this stunner at Current Clothing! Whether you are a bride-to-be, festival junkie, or simply chic, this maxi skirt deserves a special spot in your closet. The princess seams guarantee you a swoon-worthy fit, while the subtle chevron print ups its versatility. With the right additions, this skirt can easily go from noon to five. For a daytime affair, pair this beauty with a cropped off-the-shoulder top, a jean jacket, and a side braid.

With a cocktail party in Las Vegas coming up, I chose the latter, and styled this mermaid skirt for the evening. To compliment the shapely lower half, I paired it with a feminine structured top. Although a classic black or white would have worked, I took advantage of the opportunity to add a pop of color by incorporating this magenta peplum top into the mix. I know I always say to keep the accessories to a minimum when you are working with a statement piece, but when it comes to Vegas, the bigger the better! That is why I chosen a very gaudy pearl necklace.

When I came across this black and white patterned jacket at H&M, I grabbed it up immediately. Fitted and just the right weight, this classic beauty is suitable for wearing all year round. This weekend I paired it with a light pink sleeveless blouse and white bandage skirt (black would work too). Although I am a huge fan of monochromatic color schemes, I incorporated pale pink for a nice feminine touch. On a cooler day, I might style this jacket with black slacks and a white button-down boyfriend shirt. I polished off my Sunday Funday look with pearl jewelry and my favorite black and white tassel sandals from ShoeDazzle.

While there is nothing wrong with pairing a solid tank with your go-to jeans, in my eyes, fancy is always better. So rather then stocking up on traditional basics, I go for the jazzed up versions. A white tee with ruffles on the sleeves, or a black tank with a surplice back. I think you catch my drift. So when I came across the burnt orange tank photographed below, it made the cut. The asymmetrical hemline adds just enough oomph and the keyhole back is a fun bonus. To dress up the shirt a tad, I styled it with white distressed skinny jeans and my nude wedge sandals. Since an outfit is never complete without a statement piece, I polished off the look with a glitzy pearl necklace, chunky brown bangles, and a leopard print clutch. Incorporating a bold animal print accessory may just be the easiest way to spice up an ensemble.

When I came across a pair of high-waisted navy and off-white checked trousers, my imagination began to run wild with outfit ideas. Wear them with a boxy crop top, a body-suit and blazer, an evening shirt, or v-neck and completely transform the look from the previous wear. Going for an ultra chic approach this time around, I decided to rock these pants with a glamorous evening shirt. Although previously styled on KK and GG, I knew this peplum top would go so well I could not resist wearing it again. To change it up a tad, I further synched in the waist with a pearl belt and hung a pearl necklace around my neck. Finally, to polish off the ensemble, I went for a nude pump –  anything to help make my legs look longer!

I never really considered chripes to be my fashion style, but they’re growing on me very quickly. I used to associate these patterns with preppy ensembles. But by incorporating your glitzy jewels, or your favorite funky top, you really can stay true to your own style with whatever pattern you wear. If you are on the petite side, midi skirts can be a little bit tricky. We are already blessed with short legs, so we tend to compensate by wearing garments that give off an elongated appearance (jumpsuits, high-waisted pants, “sky high” high heels, etc.). That is why it is very important to make sure your midi skirt hits at mid-calf…even if it means a trip to the tailor! Before styling the dress below, I had it shortened about 3.5 inches. Once you’ve arrived at the appropriate length, try pairing your midi with nude shoes – they do a great job lengthening your legs.

I highly recommend a fitted top when styling a full midi skirt. That is why I was drawn to the “Lead a Charmed Life Midi Dress.” Featuring a fitted bodice, spaghetti straps, and open back design, feel flirty and sassy while wearing this little number! To breakup all of the pink, I threw on a chunky pearl necklace, and polished off the look with my rose gold watch, an embellished leather bracelet, and my point-toe nude pumps. I definitely needed to use that leg lengthening trick mentioned above. Quantities are limited in this dress, so hop to it and shop this look below.

With all of the pink going on in the ensemble above, I couldn’t help but paint my eyelids with hues from Urban Decay’s Naked 3 pallet! In an effort to stay in the flavor of this “Hallmark holiday,” I broke out my watermelon high-waisted wide leg pants. Although they are from last season, check out this way cuter pair of trousers. A bold pair of pants is a good item to have in your closet for one of those “I have nothing to wear” moments. Pair them with a black top, and just like that, you’re dressed and ready to go. I styled my red bottoms with a black long sleeve crop top with ruffle detail, although any fitted black top would have been adequate. Same goes for the trousers mentioned above. To complete the look, I put on a pearl statement necklace (add your email address here and get notified when it’s back in stock), “Peekaboo” pearl earrings, and a timeless Gucci purse.
