The shaggy jacket is the new blazer. Shocking, I know, but it’s the truth! But if you stop and think about how you normally wear a blazer, it makes a lot of sense. Do you wear one over a dress or a skirt? With ripped jeans, or slacks? Is it just me, or does fringe effortlessly up your style game?! Next time you get ready to go out, consider topping your ensemble with a shaggy jacket instead of a blazer. Prepare for the compliments to roll in.

 
So what makes this look different from the other? It’s all about the black. As much as I love color, I must admit that there is nothing sharper than black on black. An outfit like this can go from holiday party to the dance club. It is best to dress for anything because you never know where the night will take you. Now because I cannot stay way from color for too long, I polished off this look with a pink bootie. Really any statement hue would have the same affect!

I know what you are thinking, “this is too good to be true.” You are definitely not dreaming and this dress is definitely worth more than $15. Regardless, there is something so flattering about a fit and flare dress. That is probably why the f&f silhouette is so popular among brides. It hugs your bod in all of the right places, perfectly accenting your assets. Who can complain about that?! So where does one find a smokin’ hot dress for less than $20?! At Shein, of course!

Having an open mind is not only good for the soul, but it will come in handy when you shop for clothes. I will buy an outfit from ANYWHERE as long as it makes me feel good. I do not believe that price automatically denotes quality or “purity.” This inexpensive dress fits better than some of the designer items hanging in my closet with the tags still attached. The key to shopping successfully regardless of price is to pay attention to the product details and reviews. More specifically, the garment’s composition and the model’s measurements. Ask yourself these questions: Does the fabric stretch? How tall is the model and what size waist does she have?

Being cognizant of such details will save you the hassle of returning online orders. I have never returned an item from Shein after comparing my body measurements to the product details. Bonus: The cropped hem fits as a traditional maxi for petite folks. Happy shopping!

This rule applies to everyday fashionista life. When in doubt, wear black and white. This classic combo will match with everything, including pink booties. It will also tone down your look if you’re new to the colorful shoe trend. At New York Fashion Week, obviously I would wear these booties with a matching pink suit. For a regular day in San Francisco, however, this black and white ensemble will still have people lookin’.

Kill it with confidence! It sounds cliche, but it is the truth. Wear your new pink booties like you were made to wear ’em. There is nothing more attractive than a smiling lady who wears her head high. Besides, happy girls are the prettiest and it’s almost impossible to walk down the street in happy feet without a smile on your face. Prepare for pink bootie overload – I can assure you this is not the first or last time you’ll be seeing them.

The denim maxi is a wonderful alternative to your go to jean pants. I cannot speak for you, but having options frees my mind from one less thing to stress about. I am in love with this skirt because it is just as versatile as traditional jeans, yet its on a whole new level of the chic scale! Now let’s take a look at last week’s ensemble. I could easily swap the skirt for pants on a day where a dress or skirt just isn’t feasible. Would it be an acceptable outfit? Yes. Would it be terribly interesting? Not really. What a difference a little leg can make!

Today we feature the same denim maxi and the prettiest eyelet top. Now do you believe me when I say that you can style this item just as you would a pair of jean pants? Hopefully you can appreciate its utility, but if you are petite like me, there are a few things to keep in mind. Gravitate towards a skirt with a high waist and a slit if at all possible. These two features will elongate the appearance of your legs!

You already know my thoughts on drop crotch jumpsuits – they make the perfect airplane attire! I was afraid of “wearing out” the other, so I stock piled with this one! Evidently the pom pom craze is still in full effect. How fun is the embellished halter strap on this onesie?! Definitely wear your hair up with this item. You do not want to hide the flirty details!

You’ll be happy to know that this hot number is available in two colors: black and white. I chose black because I’m petite. What I mean is the excess material can be a little bit swallowing for a short person. Black is sleek. I kept the accessories clean by pairing tassel earrings and matching mules with this ensemble. I’m traveling back to the East Coast this weekend. Any guesses what I’ll be wearing?! In all seriousness, comfortable travel attire is imperative. Not only does this pom pom jumpsuit fit the bill, but these shoes are easy to walk in, supportive, and still provide me a boost. Get ’em while they’re hot – you won’t regret it!
