Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock, then you know that Pinterest is the search engine that all of the “cool kids” are using. Simply put, there is no better way to find answers and inspiration to all of your “out there” ideas, than through this extremely visual platform. Well, using their exclusive “pinsider” data, our friends over at Pinterest HQ have compiled a Top Trends to Try in 2018 list. Here are some of the top trends in women’s fashion – evidently I’m right on point!

Larger than Life Earrings

Should I pat myself on the back for this one?! I think my Gucci earrings qualify as LARGER than life (insert laughing emoji). I could not agree more with this fashion prediction. Sometimes all it takes to effortlessly transform an ok outfit into a masterpiece is a pair of statement earrings. Jewelry lovers rejoice! This pair is currently on my wish list.

Wide Leg Pants

I’ve said it before and I’m saying it again, skinny jeans are on their way out. Hello flare jeans! This is a-ok with me as this style of denim is very elongating for petite women #winning. Are you new to the wide leg trend?! Take this pair for a test drive – they’re only $58 and do not stretch out after a day’s wear. I own them in blue and black. What are you waiting for?!

Studs, Pearls, and Bold Buckles

Thank you Pinterest for justifying my latest Gucci splurge! Since this pearl belt (look for less here) came into my life, suddenly dressing is easier. When it’s not hanging on my hips, it’s synching my waist. And when I’m not wearing it, it makes a very pretty table-weight on my desk. Haha. How to Wear Pink Booties

Confession: I am the most impractical person EVER. I’m the girl who goes to the Gucci store and leaves with a bright yellow purse. The fashionista who wears her new pink booties out of the Sam Edelman store! And oh yeah, I just unboxed my first white blouse yesterday. The first step to overcoming a “problem” is admitting that you have a problem, right?! But hey, my love for color often prevails! Today is my attempt to demonstrate how to wear pink booties without looking like a joker. Hear me out!

Classic Colors

This rule applies to everyday fashionista life. When in doubt, wear black and white. This classic combo will match with everything, including pink booties. It will also tone down your look if you’re new to the colorful shoe trend. At New York Fashion Week, obviously I would wear these booties with a matching pink suit. For a regular day in San Francisco, however, this black and white ensemble will still have people lookin’.

Confidence

Kill it with confidence! It sounds cliche, but it is the truth. Wear your new pink booties like you were made to wear ’em. There is nothing more attractive than a smiling lady who wears her head high. Besides, happy girls are the prettiest and it’s almost impossible to walk down the street in happy feet without a smile on your face. Prepare for pink bootie overload – I can assure you this is not the first or last time you’ll be seeing them.
