Often when I wear an ultra feminine style, I add my own an edgy flair by incorporating surprising accessories. Yes this pink ruffle dress would have looked great with my So Kate Christian Louboutin pumps, but that would be too predictable. Instead, I dressed it with open-toe sock booties. This sexy heel will likely draw attention to the legs, and I am ok with that! The same goes for the faux fur box purse…of course my white Gucci bag matches. But there is something funky about throwing in faux fur! Maybe that is the Kelsey Kaplan Fashion brand in a nutshell: Feminine styles with unexpected details?! Me: Love it. How fast can you get it?

Me: Because it would make a really cute prop for blog pics while I’m there next week.

True story! No my mom did not buy a vehicle just so that I could take a cute pic, but I am so glad that we have the same taste in cars :). Now how can I kidnap this little bug and bring it back to San Francisco?! Insert all the heart eyes.

What do you get when you put a city girl in the country?! An over dressed gal who sinks in the grass in her four inch high heels. Hurry – someone send the solmates! All joking aside, I love this outfit because it’s practical. I will be the first to admit that my clothes are not the most practical of items. But this sweet peplum top is coming to the rescue and it is the perfect hue for the summer. It will look great with all of your short or long denim – white included. But when you are “blessed” with a petite frame, you are always thinking of ways to elongate the appearance of your legs. I am here to tell you the shorter the better when it comes to jean shorts. Now take it a step further and add a nude high heel to the mix. Voila! Just like that you’re virtually taller.

This was my first time riding in a Volkswagen Beetle. I was pleasantly surprised at the level of comfort in the front seat. It was very easy to drive and handled the New England countryside so well. To all of my fashionable friends…if you are in the market for a stylish vehicle, the Volkswagen Beetle is it! A special shoutout is in order to Mitchell Volkswagen for making car shopping a breeze. This is sixth or seventh vehicle my family has purchased from Mitchell. I guess you can call us creatures of habit?!

My boutique closet is plentiful in shorts, skirts, dresses, and jumpsuits/rompers but totally lacking in the shirts department. A stylish top can cost upwards of $65. I cannot justify spending that on a top when I bought a two piece set for less! Luckily Chicwish has a fabulous assortmentat reasonable prices for those of us who discriminate against ’em. Just USAs are JUST perfect. I discovered this brand way back when when Rodeo Boutique in Baton Rouge, LA began carrying the line. Simply put, these products are the most reliable “economy” denim, and they’re now available online at the Red Dress Boutique. I own the: Ignore The Rules Dark Wash Distressed Skinny Jeans, Ever Cool Distressed Skinnies, ,and the Not The Only One Cut Off Shorts (as seen in stonewash), just to name a few. They are hands down the most comfortable denim I have ever pulled up my legs. They are SO stretchy, they don’t  get baggy after a days wear, and they range in price from $42-$68.

Target is full of distractions. I went in there for closet organizers, and walked out with two pairs of shoes, a purse, etc. Oh well because these ruffle slides are just as darling in person as they appear online. They remind me of ballet slipper -so dainty and feminize. The low heel height makes them suitable for all day wear and they’re available in black and red if you do not consider yourself a “pink lady.” For only $34.99 spruce up your shoe rack with these pretty little things.
