Gold Pleated Dress

Hi my name is Kelsey and I have a passion for fashion. Nothing shocking about that statement, right? But what is alarming is that I am wearing a: long, dark, dropped waist, gold pleated dress, and loving it! Never say never. Although slightly different from my assortment of spicy pink numbers, this item is surprisingly flattering and would make a great addition to your holiday party dress rotation!

When you’re doubtful of an item, but willing to give it a try, make it unapollogetically yours. What I mean is, add your signature flair! At first glance this dress appears too conservative to fit in with my funky collection. But the gold shimmer detail and pleats convinced me to buy it anyway. Have you ever shopped at Shein? Despite the questionable website design, it’s legit and so are the rock bottom prices. This dress was only $30 and part of the reason I was willing to step out of my comfort zone. Yeah, I have one of those too!

The addition of a rose gold belt and high fashion purse made all the difference here. I could have styled this dress with my black Gucci belt, but that was too predictable. Mixing metals is effortless and will instantly up your style game. Think about it – some of our most prized possessions and the accompanying accessories are now available in rose gold, silver, and yellow gold. The iPhone and Apple Watch to name a few. It is the “cool” thing to do! As we approach a new decade, I challenge you to step out of your comfort zone and wear something fun, fresh, and funky!
