Happy Thanksgiving to All!

Good morning readers, I would like to start of by wishing you all a very Happy Thanksgiving! May your food be tasty and your outfits be trendy. Aside from chowing down on turkey and stuffing, on this special Thursday I am talking lace-up garments. Some how fashion designers have turned what used to be considered “racy” into one of the hottest world-wide trends! If you have not yet noticed lace-up bodysuits, crop tops, and dresses, in your favorite stores, now that I’ve mentioned it, I promise you’ll spot them everywhere. Being my first lace-up piece, I started out with a sweet faux suede dress. I don’t know about you, but “olive” an affordable and versatile number! Black and Beige Striped Shirt

More often than not, horizontal striped garments are dismissed as being unflattering. I must admit, at one point in time I avoided them too. Well, if you have also developed a new fond appreciation for the classic print, check out this cute striped top from the women’s online boutique, ShopPinkBlush. Believe me when I say, horizontal stripes do not have to be boring…it will just require you to do a little bit of thinking outside of the box! For example, during my initial outfit planning session with this striped top, from PinkBlush Boutique, black denim seemed like an obvious match. While I always planned on mixing prints by incorporating a leopard print scarf, when I tried on the top with black pants, one word came to mind: MEH. Considering it is my job to provide y’all with quality “fashspiration,” outfit option number one was not going to cut it. Faux Leather Midi Dress

The holiday season is officially here. With Thanksgiving just days away, and work parties in full swing, there is no better time than now to line up the LBDs. If you follow me on social media, then you may have noticed the “1940’s Hollywood Glam” Instagram post, last Wednesday night. We hosted my husband’s office holiday dinner at Foreign Cinema so it was time to break out a little black dress! Leave it to Current Clothing to carry the perfect one. This dress is a favorite for many reasons. A halter neck gets me every time and the keyhole detail is ultra feminine. The best feature, however, is the hip-hugging faux leather midi skirt. The longer length balances out the slim fit silhouette, and the gold zipper detail creates just enough oomph. If it wasn’t for the high slit, this dress would not be flattering on a petite frame. Midi skirts tend to “cut off” our legs at an undesirable spot, making them appear shorter than they actually are. The steamy slit helps us avoid this fashion faux pas! Leopard Print Sweater

As a fashion ambassador, I am always on the hunt for trendy boutiques online. If you’re in the market for stylish basics and comfortable tops, ShopPinkBlush is where it’s at! The one area that is lacking in my wardrobe is the tops department. I often hoard statement pieces and dresses, making it interesting when it is simply a top and jeans kind of night. I was very happy to add this lightweight leopard sweater to my meager collection of tops. The lightweight composition makes it easy for layering, and the long length is suitable for skinnies or leggings. On this occasion I styled this leopard top with a pair of burgundy skinny jeans. If you’re not a fan of colored jeans, black would work too. I topped it off with a faux fur vest to create an interesting contrast, and laced up my chocolate brown boots with the fur.
