Sweater and Shorts Combo

Shorts and a sweater is a great outfit choice during the early days of fall. Maybe it’s still too hot to wear jeans, sweaters, and closed toe shoes – this combo is the perfect happy medium. When I came across this bow back sweater at Ambiance, I knew just the right bottoms to pair with it, faux leather shorts! Think of this ensemble as the steamy version of a typical sweater and shorts outfit. Just like you would balance out a fitted bottom with a loose top, the same rule applies here. That is why I styled this slouchy sweater with a tailored short. Although a high-heel black leather bootie would have worked fine, I decided to take it up a notch with over-the-knee suede boots. It won’t be long before we are all living in leggings and boots, why not take advantage of bare legs while we can?! A-line Cord Skirt

From denim skirts, corduroy, to flannel tops, all of this season’s must-have items are taking me back to my childhood years! I distinctly remember the days shopping for denim skirts and corduroy jumpers at Gap Kids. It is funny to think that in 2015, here I am shopping for similar items, just like the Attagirl Rust Red Corduroy A-Line Skirt. The a-line silhouette is a personal favorite. Naturally, I was excited when I found this corduroy a-line skirt, as it is in a fabulous fall hue and it reminds me of the denim skirt that I showcased here. The high-waisted cut is perfect for pairing with crop tops. That is where the Elliptical Lyric Chartreuse Long Sleeve Crop Top comes into play. A huge fan of contrasting colors, I decided to experiment with color-blocking for this look. I polished off the ensemble with fringe embellished ankle boots, and greenish-blue jewelry. The Black Fringe Jacket Round Two

If you missed yesterday’s post, then you missed the big reveal of my latest fabulous find, the Glamorous Dropping a Line Black Vegan Leather Jacket! As promised, I am demonstrating another way to rock this standout piece. Today I am talking pants. If you’ve been keeping up with KK and GG over the last several months then you know by now that I never pass up a good pair. Having been on the hunt for camo print bottoms since last season, when I found these black toned Camo Skinny Jeans in Lord & Taylor’s Design Lab Shop, confetti started to fly. These pants are perfect for many reasons. To start, the black hues make them easy to dress up, and the zipper details give you options. What I mean is, you can unzip the legs for a straight leg fit rather than a standard skinny leg. Although an all black ensemble would work, I paired these jeans with a white top and nude pumps to create a softer look. The Black Fringe Jacket

The fringe frenzy continues, but this time it is in the form of a jacket – you can never own enough jackets if you live in San Francisco. Between the moderate climate and Karl the Fog, if you’re walking on the shady side of the street, it can get chilly. When you find a statement piece that you just cannot live without, it is important to think of outfit possibilities and whether or not you’ll have enough use for the item. It was a no brainer when I came across the Glamorous Dropping a Line Black Vegan Leather Jacket – black is extremely versatile and the three quarter length sleeves are perfect for fall in Northern Cali. Over the next two days I am going to demonstrate different ways to rock this standout piece, starting with a jacquard skirt. You may recognize this printed mini from an earlier blog post, but I couldn’t resist styling it again with over the knee boots and this vegan leather jacket.
