The More Drama the Better

Black on black is one of the easiest ways to get out of the door fast! While I highly recommend this wardrobe “hack,” I also believe that no outfit is complete without a little bit of drama. This is even more crucial when you’re sporting an all black ensemble. Drama comes in many forms. Maybe it is the bright red lipstick you’re rocking, or the Swarovski crystals around your neck. No matter what you call it, the more drama the better, especially when you’re dealing with black on black! This fab tube top is from Current Clothing (surprise, surprise), and I knew it was going to take a special pair of pants to do it justice. Can you imagine my excitement when I found these faux leather culottes from Zara?! Although the over-sized bow is loud enough, I was able to create more drama by mixing medias i.e., a faux leather textile. Look like a Million Bucks in Five Minutes or Less

I don’t know about you, but more often than not, I find myself thinking, “there aren’t enough hours in the day!” Speaking on behalf of millennials, we don’t like to miss out. As a result, we over extend ourselves. Maybe it’s just in our blood, but we jam pack our schedules so much so that there are days where the phrase, “running around like a chicken with your head cut off” becomes reality! So, if there is one thing you take away from this post, make it this: no matter how busy you are, you do not have to compromise your fashion style. Add a cape to your wardrobe and thank me later. This hot item will singlehandedly change your life when you’re having one of those “I have nothing to wear moments.” If you already own a cape or two (or four in my case!), the next item you should invest in is a pair of distressed jeans. Faux Leather A-line Skirt

Once a fashionista, always a fashionista! Way back when, when Limited Too was the “cool” place to shop, I distinctly recall my mild obsession with the “Scooter Skort,” an a-line skirt with built-in shorts. I owned at least 5 colors – blue, pink and white to name a few. It was perfect for my active lifestyle as a young fashion aficionado. I think that is why I was immediately attracted to this faux leather a-line skirt from Current Clothing. If you’re on the hunt for a flattering skirt, stop the search and turn to a good ol’ a-line skirt. Fitted around the hips, then gently flaring at the hemline, feel good flaunting your curves in one of these things. The Fringe Dress of the Year

Fringe and faux suede are two of my favorite trends this season! Now take a suede LBD and add some fringe and what you get is PERFECTION! Leave it to Current Clothing to carry such an item. There are many features that make this dress desirable, one of which is the flattering silhouette. Shift dresses are my favorite because they are forgiving – comfortably flaunt your figure in one of these. The princess seams provide a complimentary shape, and the plunging neckline and keyhole back add just enough flavor to the conservative black design. On to the fringe sleeves…gotta love ’em! Not only do they transform the look entirely, but they add movement! When you’re working with a fab piece, the last thing you want to do is accessorize too much.
