Denim Gaucho Pants

Gaucho pants are making a comeback and I’m one of many fashionistas riding the bandwagon! These bottoms are available in a variety of fabrics and patterns and are great for just about any occasion. On this trendy Tuesday, I’m breaking out a pair of Frayed Denim Gauchos. For a whopping $24.90, effortlessly step up your jean game and add a vintage flair to your fashion-forward ensemble with a pair of these.     When I stumbled upon these stonewash denim gauchos at Forever 21, it was a no brainer to scoop them up. Although suitable for a casual daytime occasion (think gladiator sandals, a boxy tee, and a fedora), I styled these bottoms for Happy Hour…after all, fancy is always better in the KK and GG handbook! A big fan of monochromatic color schemes, I stuck to blues and brought out some boho goodness with the addition of a Scalloped Floral Crochet top. The 1969 Girlfriend Jean

If you were preoccupied livin’ it up at Outside Lands this weekend, and couldn’t stop by your neighborhood Gap for the Friends and Family event, boy do I have some great news for you! This iconic sale has been extended up until midnight (ET) tonight online and in stores. I often drop in Gap to stock up on basics and this time I hit the jackpot with the new 1969 Girlfriend Jean. Regularly priced at $79.99, I got ’em for $52 with tax.     While boyfriend jeans continue to flood the apparel market, girlfriend jeans are slowly but surely gaining territory. Slimmer fit than your boyfriends, yet looser than a typical “skinny jean,” these bottoms offer the same relaxed feel with a more feminine silhouette than their counterparts. I am happy to report that Gap has this trend figured out – the 1969 Girlfriend Jeans are the proof. Available in different shades of indigo, black and white, as well as surplus green (pictured above), you cannot go wrong with a versatile pair of pants like these. Cleaning out your closet

If you’re like me, your clothes have sentimental value. Cleaning out your closet is no easy task! Maybe that champagne dress you wore to your rehearsal dinner just hangs there in a garment bag taking up space. Or the look you rocked when you nailed the interview for your dream job is slowly but surely building up dust in the back of your closet. Over the years I have found one easily solution to this problem…give your clothes to someone you genuinely care about. When you know your precious commodities are in a “good home” it makes saying goodbye a lot easier. Although there will be some pieces that you can’t part with, chances are high that there are plenty of fad items that need to go too. A recent Refinery29 article does a great job highlighting such items!   The ultra low-waist jeans are a thing of the past. I was once a big fan of ’em too, but nowadays it seems like the higher cut the better. Suede Fringe Dress

The suede persuasion continues…and with fall on my mind, I am finding myself attracted to everything rust. This hue is a great transitional color because it is still bright, yet it can easily mix in with the browns, greens, and mustard yellows, that are often associated with autumn. It was love at first sight when I came across this Faux Suede Fringe Dress by Lord & Taylor’s very own Design Lab.     This dress is the definition of chic boho! If you don’t have the rust fever, purchase this flirty number in black or taupe instead. Great for a special occasion, whether it be a birthday, anniversary, or festival and you won’t go unnoticed. Suitable for tall or short legged folk, wear this dress as is, or top it with a longline vest. For a casual look, throw on a pair of flat gladiator sandals, or turn it up a notch with a pair of high heels. Naturally, I went the dressier route and styled this piece with Southwestern printed peep toe booties, and accessorized with turquoise Kendra Scott earrings, and a silver cuff bracelet.
