Bell Bottoms: They’re Baaack!

Bell bottoms are hitting the shelves faster than ever before and I couldn’t be happier about it…talk about a blast from the past. One of the things that I love the most about fashion is that it is cyclical. Hence the reason flare leg pants have made a comeback from 1970’s disco garb. Lace on the other hand, is timeless. Free People, the Red Dress Boutique, and Forever 21 are just a few of the many retailers currently carrying bell bottom lace bottoms. But no matter where they’re from or what color they are, they all have one thing in common. They’re HOT! How perfect would a white pair be for a bride-to-be to wear during her bachelorette party?! Being a huge fan of black apparel in general, it was an easy decision to make when I purchased mine. Plus, black is acceptable all months of the year. Since fancy is always better, I dressed these bottoms up with a black peplum top. I thought this cut was a nice balance between the sheer fabric and slim fit pant. OMG $14 Trousers!

Who would have thought that you could actually find a flattering pair of trousers for under $20?! I know I didn’t! Well, they exist, and I have found ’em! Ready, set, go! Head on over to your local H&M or get clicking online before these steals and deals sell out. Aside from the awesomely appealing price tag, the cut and fit are quite fabulous as well! High-waisted and slim fit at the top, and tapered at the knee, these babies are office or happy hour ready. If the green and black print doesn’t tickle your fancy, you’ll be happy to hear that these pants are available in a variety of solid colors and prints. I gravitated to the green and black pair immediately because they are suitable all-year-round. I can already picture them during the fall months with a burnt orange long-sleeve top and a black or cognac booties! This time around I kept it simple, and paired these hot pants with a black off the shoulder top also from H&M (only $24), and black patent leather pumps. Wish List Wednesday: The Original Lilly Pulitzer

Now that I’ve officially showcased all of my Lilly Pulitzer for Target finds, it is time for me to give props to the original Lilly Pulitzer and co. You cannot go wrong spending the summer in Lilly. These bold prints will have heads turning and fashionistas chatting. If investing in quality pieces is on your July to-do list, then this one is for you. Elephants are trending. Whether they’re the print on a decorative scarf, a cell phone case, or graphic tee, they’re making a summer splash. Check out the Buttercup Scallop Hem Short. Perfectly structured and pretty in pink, rock these things for a barbecue or even a game of golf. Once you’re off the green, pair them with metallic thong sandals or your go-to gold wedges. Mixed Prints – it’s a Thing Now

Mixing prints used to be a fashion faux pas. Nowadays, however, celebrities and America’s favorite fashionistas alike, are pairing contrasting prints like there is no tomorrow. Whether it is stripes and polka dots or florals and plaid, it is totally a “thing” now. If you want to get your feet wet before breaking out the checks and dots, then hear me out! A great way to experiment with contrasting separates is to start with a stand-out accessory. This could be a pair of bold shoes, a purse, or in this case, sunglasses. When I came across these sunnies at Ambiance, I instantly fell in love. No they are not the most practical pair that I own, but they sure will make a statement when I rock ’em. Rather than styling these fun frames with a solid top or dress, I went for my favorite blue striped boyfriend shirt and white cut-off shorts. How did I arrive at this configuration?
