I’ve always wanted to shoot blog pics in a field of sunflowers. Growing up in New England, I took the foliage for granted. Well well well…yesterday we set out to cross this photoshoot off of my bucket list. It turned into quite an adventure after the farmer kindly asked us to remove ourselves from the property. Whoops! Luckily the sunflowers in Connecticut are abundant, and we relocated to another sunflower field before the sun went down. So what does a city girl wear in the country, you may ask?! A gingham dress with a twist…literally and figuratively! I thought it would be fun to showcase this gingham dress two ways: casual in the country side, and “extra” in NYC. I’m far from basic. In fact, my version of classic is classical funk! This black and white number is not your average gingham dress. The fit and flare silhouette is bodacious and the cutout halter design adds an edgy flair. Without much stretch in the material, size up for a comfortable fit. New York Fashion Week begins tomorrow. While the shows and events are all fun to attend, I personally love the street fashion. It is the […]
I am not going to lie, since I bought my rainbow pumps, I take advantage of every opportunity to wear them! That includes bath time for GG. If you don’t believe me, consider this another reason to follow my Instagram stories! I’m not THAT extra, but the best way to break in a new pair of high heels is doing your housework in ’em. Anyway, when I saw these rainbow roses from J. Miller Flowers, one thing came to mind: Blog Pics! Jonathan shot these yesterday afternoon and I edited them overnight on a redeye flight. I hope you enjoy this rainbow delight and shop and save with the Labor Day sales codes and details below! Pair a bodysuit and jeans for an effortlessly chic look this Labor Day Weekend! This playful item is only $20 and is petite-girl friendly. I’ve tried on sooo many of these things and 90% off the time the torso is too long. If you recall, I first styled these paper bag jeans here. I hope this look demonstrates just how versatile they are. I removed the matching belt and replaced it with my Gucci fanny pack. Yes, I said it! The fanny […]
Earlier this year I published the blog post Five Time-Saving Beauty Tips. If you haven’t read it yet, I let you in on a few beauty secrets that have cut my “getting ready” time in half. Today I am delving in deeper and sharing the 10 beauty products I cannot live without. Let’s “face” it…I would not look like myself without ’em – pun intended! You are gonna want to bookmark this one… Foundation Gone are the days where spending $30-40 dollars on foundation is necessary. After all, it is literally money going down the drain when you wash it off at night! L’Oréal’s line of infallible foundations provide full coverage and precise color matching at drug store prices – only $12.99 a bottle! I use the 24 hour Total Coverage formula in “Caramel Beige” and absolutely adore it. I often find foundation to have heavy orange tones, but Caramel beige matches my brown skin tone perfectly. Pro Tip: Set your Infallible Foundation with Cover FX Perfect Setting Powder for an airbrush-like finish. Tinted Moisturizer Infallible Total Coverage is definitely my favorite foundation (duh), but it does not shield harmful UV rays. So, before I start my never […]
The next time you’re on a trip, take advantage of you anonymity and wear something out of the box. I’ve had this rose gold wrap Kardashian-esque dress in my closet since June. I’m so glad I saved it because I had a blast wearing it over the weekend in the desert! Eating and Dancing in Vegas Now that you know what to wear, where to stay, and what to see in Las Vegas, let’s talk food and dancing! Conveniently located across the street from the LINQ is Hell’s Kitchen, home to world-famous chef Gordon Ramsay! Not only would I absolutely freeze in […]
If you follow me on Instagram then you know I was in Las Vegas over the weekend. I had every intention of taking an #ootd pic wearing this jumpsuit, but sometimes you gotta live a little. I am a one man show. It is hard to be a content creator, editor, stage manager, model, and friend at the same time. This trip was a mini college reunion with a group of girls I met in 2006. We all live in different cities across the country, but we pick up where we left off whenever we are together. It was very therapeutic just being “present” and not as obsessed with my phone. So, here I am in San Francisco, suiting back up in my Vegas attire so that I can share it with you! Play it Cool at the LINQ Las Vegas Las Vegas is so easy to get to, but it is not necessarily the easiest place to navigate. Unless you know it like the back of your hand, you probably won’t find the ride share pickup lot at the airport. And you WILL get lost in the casinos…if you can even find your way out! My friend […]
