Why spend $200 on a pair of pants when you can spend $35?! In the fashion blogging business it is very unlikely that you’ll wear the same garment more than a handful of times. Luckily I have been a fan of Forever 21 since my teenage years and there is no end in sight. Regardless of the “stigma,” I always find what I am looking for there and I am not ashamed of it! For example, this pair of ombre jeans will get me though the season until I move on to the next trend and I am not suffering from buyer’s remorse. Score!     Nine times out of 10 the quality meets my expectations. But there is a smart way to shop from mass produced retailers with an exchange only return policy. To begin, I always glance through the product reviews. After making an initial assessment, I check the model’s measurements. Is she 5′ 10″ and wearing a dress that hits at mid thigh? If you follow me on Instagram, then this topic may sound familiar. If you don’t follow me yet, then consider this reason number 9,999 to do so! Ever since I was a little girl I’ve been hair obsessed. Let’s just say, when I’m having a bad hair day, I am NOT a happy camper! In the age of curling wands and ombré hairstyles, having a reliable haircare regime has never been more important. In fact, I often joke that I brush GG’s hair more frequently than my own! It’s totally my fault, but as a result, it’s tangly after I wash it. Free People Jumpsuit for Day or Evening Wear

Clothing brands come and go. Some become household names and others don’t make it as far. But if I had to name one that continues to impress, year after year, it would be Free People. I first discovered this line in Baton Rouge, LA when I was working at Rode’o Boutique. In fact, it was this FP dress that “hooked” Jonathan on our very first date! Each item is so intricately designed that they look like one-of- a-kind finds. Over the years I’ve watched the Free People brand evolve from boho tops and sweaters to a beautifully curated collection of casual, evening, active, and daytime apparel.     This jumpsuit is a quintessential Free People garment! The ornate material looks like a beautiful neck scarf. I just LOVE the vibrant colors against the contrasting tie details. The fit on the other hand is comfortable and cool – suitable for the Puerto Vallarta climate. I slipped a lace bandeau underneath the jumpsuit for moderate coverage. High Waisted Bikini for the Petite Frame

Now that you know where to buy a little black swimsuit, today it is all about the high waisted bikini! This retro fashion is back in style and hotter than ever. To me, it is the ideal swimsuit style. It provides more coverage than a regular bikini but it is not as modest as a one-piece.     I am not trying to throw myself a pity party, but it is not easy shopping for a high waisted bikini when you are only five feet tall. Some of the bottoms pulled up and over my rib cage (insert laughing emoji). Urkel in a swimsuit diaper is not cute! Others shortened the appearance of my torso even more leaving me with a very boxy shape. After trying on half a dozen high waisted bikinis, I had an epiphany! Lace-up bottoms make all the difference. So if you are short like me, in height or in the torso, consider a lace-up high waisted bikini bottom. Just do yourself a favor and wear it on the first day of your trip.
