Medieval styles are making a comeback in the form of chainmail! Crafted out of interlocking metal rings (like a metal mesh fabric), this old time textile was worn as a form of armor during the Medieval Era. It protected warriors against sharp objects without sacrificing the flexibility that they needed on the battlefield. I was first introduced to “mail” during a costume history class at LSU. At the time I thought half of the information I was memorizing was a waste of brain space. But here I am regurgitating it several years later!
