Kelsey Kaplan & Teggy French in Alexis Clothing

When Kelsey Kaplan and Teggy French collaborate, big things happen! If you follow me on Instagram then you probably witnessed the shenanigans that took place last week while my cousin was in town. There is nothing like having a relative/blogger/bff to bounce ideas of off, and more importantly, to share clothes with! It was my lucky day that “Teggy” just so happened to pack a matching shirt and dress from the high-end womenswear line, Alexis.     White on white is so crisp and clean. Although I do not follow the “no white after Labor Day” rule, I probably wouldn’t wear it head to toe after the first week of September. This Alexis peplum top is dazzling in details. From the beautifully textured design, to the delicate lace trim, this piece looks like a work of art! As if you haven’t guessed already, I dressed this shirt with white jeans and nude accents, including the chicest shades on the market by Victory Optical.     Teggy rocked the coordinating dress and she killed it…surprise surprise! She has always inspired me style-wise. I never would have thought to wear this dress with a cowl neck sweater, but it totally worked. This […]

Blush Lace Bodysuit and a Maxi Skirt

As you restock your wardrobe for the fall, consider adding a bodysuit to your weekly rotation. These chic garments not only function as undershirts, but they are totally acceptable for wear on their own. Although there are a million way to dress one, today I am demonstrating how to wear a blush lace bodysuit with a maxi skirt.     Looking elegant has never been so effortless. You guessed right, all you need is a bodysuit and a maxi skirt! Whether you choose a monochromatic color scheme or to mix and match, this dynamic duo will have heads turning. When you are not rocking your bodysuit solo, pair it with a blazer and your go-to pair of slacks instead (last seen here)! I think it is safe to say we can all appreciate versatile items.     You already know I am a lover of color. When I found this green maxi skirt at Make Me Chic, I reserved a special place for it in my closet. Flowing maxi skirts are so regal and let’s get real, who doesn’t enjoy looking and feeling princess-y. Truthfully, any neutral would compliment this striking emerald hue, but there is something so lovely about […]

Western Themed Outfit for the 2016 Fashionista

When you first read the title of this post, you probably thought that I would be decked out in cowboy boots and a hat. While there is nothing wrong with the traditional western themed outfit, the 2016 version consists of bold accessories. Who would have thought that big buckle belts and neck scarves would be the next big things?! Hear me out.     I have been admiring this trend for the last couple of months but I honestly didn’t think that I could get away with it. Turns out you don’t have to be going to the rodeo to wear such items! If you’re active on Instagram, then you’ve noticed your favorite fashionistas styling these pieces all very differently. As far as a necktie, as long as you are wearing an off the shoulder shirt, it’ll work. The belt on the other hand will look less cowgirl and more chic with a LBD or a little black jumpsuit. You be the judge.     I took the chic route and styled my neck scarf and belt with a black cutout jumpsuit from Asos. This floor length playsuit happens to be the same fit and style as the neon jumpsuit […]

Alexis Peplum Top

If you’ve been following my Instagram “Stories” over the last few days, then you already know that my very fashionable cousin, “Teggy French,” was out for a visit. For over two decades we’ve been playing dress up, primping our hair, and painting our faces (there are pictures to prove it!). If there is such thing as a “soul sister,” she is mine. EVERYTHING about Teggy is fabulous, especially her sense of style. I had so much fun going through her rolling closet and styling items such as this Alexis Peplum Top.     Leave it to Teggy to introduce me to this glamorous brand! Each piece in the collection is crafted beautifully out of ornate material. This peplum top features a lace overlay over a crisp nude fabric and dainty feminine straps.   \   As I continue to incorporate the typical fall hues into my playtime attire, I dressed this Alexis Peplum Top with burnt orange jeans and nude accents. I have a feeling orange will become my new black as we head into the autumn months.     Stay tuned for another post featuring Alexis clothing. In the meantime, shop this post: Alexis Peplum Top | Pants (similar) […]

Blush Blouse

Whether you like it or not, the fall season is quickly approaching, and with that comes a change in attire. It used to be that after Labor Day you’d pack up your white and swap all of your bright colors for muted earth tones. Not so fast…hold on to that blush blouse!     One of the things that I love the most about fashion in 2016 is that anything goes and it is a great way of expressing YOU. If you want to wear white pants 12 months out of the year, go ahead! If you want to wear pastels outside of the spring months, no judgment here…     It is no secret that I am a lover of all things blush. When I came across the “Style Education Blush Pink Blouse, from lulus, it was a no brainer. The ultra feminine silhouette is complimented nicely by the necktie detail, and it pairs well with black or denim. I chose the latter and styled it with distressed denim. If you’re a lover of ripped jeans, do yourself a favor and order this pair! They look designer made for only $60. I accessorized with cutout sandals and a Chanel […]
