Black and White off the Shoulder Shirt

Just when I thought there was no more room in my closet for a top like this, I come across the perfect black and white off the shoulder shirt by NikiiBlak. This basic B&W top screams me! The fabric is lightweight and resilient (no need to worry about wrinkles), while the ruffle trim adds just enough feminine flair. I took an edgy route, styling this top with black accents. I was looking for an excuse to wear my new choker – yes, you heard me! Although you are probably thinking, “A choker? Not for me…” I felt the same way at first. With the right additions, however, a choker can be just as elegant as you are! Add soft touches throughout your choker ensemble. Think a classic handbag, a pink lip, or a ladylike hairstyle. Yellow Gown

A couple of days ago I discussed pre-wedding attire. But what does a fashion blogger wear to attend the big day?! My first instinct for a summer wedding is to wear pink! It’s a happy color and there are so many pretty pink numbers out there. But when the bride is wearing blush, that’s a big no no. So, I chose another uplifting color, and dressed in a yellow gown. It turns out that I was not the only one who thought a sunny hue was a good idea…my cousin and fellow fashionista, “Teggy French,” was also in yellow. This yellow gown will bring all of your Bollywood fantasies to life. I truly felt like an Indian princess the entire night. Covered from top to bottom in pearls and beads, no details were missed in the making of this piece. Featuring a high neck and high slit, this gown is as dramatic as it can get. Black Midi Dress

If you follow me on Instagram, then hopefully you were amused by my “stories” over the last 72 hours. If you’re not an Instagram user, let me to fill you in! I was on the East Coast in the quaint town of Concord, MA for my sister’s wedding weekend. As you’re well aware, not only does the big day require a thoughtful outfit, but all of the events leading up to the ceremony require one also. Unless you know exactly what you’re in for, it is always a good idea to pack a little black midi dress. Here is why. Your Significant Other Black matches with everything. If you choose a LBD, you’ll automatically match with your significant other. Couples who dress together, stay together! No really though, if you’re one of those couples choosing black will eliminate the guessing game. Classically Chic I’ve probably said this 100 times over, but black is tres classique. Denim Tassel Dress

If you saw yesterday’s post, then you caught a glimpse of the goodness that Make Me Chic has to offer. Aside from an assortment of maxis, they also boast an impressive selection of dresses for everyday wear, like the denim tassel dress featured today. I love a good statement piece because they are easy to style. When I came across this denim tassel dress I was eager to add it to my wardrobe. You never want to compete with the garment itself, so keeping things simple is the way to go. When in doubt, pull out a less prominent hue and run with it! I chose pink because there are hints of it in the embroidery, and you can never go wrong with blush and blue. As you can see, I incorporated a pink clutch, sunglasses, wedge sandals, and lipstick.
