Off-the-Shoulder Trend

Raise your hand if you cannot get enough of the off-the-shoulder trend! No exaggeration, one out of every five photos on my Instagram feed is of an #ootd featuring an OTS garment. I do not blame you, or any other fashionista for being a fan, as this silhouette is flattering for everyone and comes in all shapes and forms, colors and patterns. Check out one way that you can style a basic black off-the-shoulder shirt. There is something so tropical about printed bottoms and an off-the-shoulder combination. It reminds me of hula dancing on the beach (insert laughing emoji). While you will not catch me doing that any time soon, you can expect to find me in different variations of the ensemble mentioned above. Bell Sleeves and Stripes

When it comes to the details, the more drama the better. This is especially true with regards to the finishing touches of a fashionable ensemble. Whether you resort to statement jewelry, striking shoes, or bell sleeves, they all accomplish the same thing. Yes! Another shirt to add to my wardrobe of dresses, rompers, skirts, and jumpsuits. When I first laid eyes on this top, 1970’s fashions immediately came to mind. The bell sleeves are oh so groovy and the serene color is perfect for the spring. Aside from it’s funky features, the fit is tailored and flattering on all shapes and sizes. For only $50 have yourself a fabulous piece that will coordinate well with flare jeans, palazzo pants, cutoff shorts, etcetera. I paired this blue beauty with a woven skirt creating a fun throwback look! The multicolor pattern reminds me of retro upholstery and the frayed hem adds a playful element. Denim Dress

The more denim the better. While this classic material will forever remain in style, it is particularly popular this season to wear it from head to toe! You may recall some of your favorite fashionista rocking denim tops and denim bottoms. I have yet to pair the two, but I have experimented with denim wedge shoes (last seen here). Today, I am excited to share with you my latest fabulous find the OH MY LOVE denim dress! When I first laid eyes on this little number, it reminded me of a warm weather version of my burgundy skater dress. The modest fit and longer length makes it suitable for religious affairs, business luncheons, and so on. It is a good idea to have one of these on hand each season. Great news – this denim dress, originally $92, is on sale for $56! Feeling inspired by Pantone’s Colors of the Year, I styled this piece with “Rose Quartz” aka blush accessories.
