We all need this bodysuit! It is an instant mood booster and a great item to have on hand for the holidays. Did I really just say that?! I CANNOT believe today is the last day in October. Anyway, there are two ways to style this bodysuit…with jeans and with a skirt. Today I am all about the latter, but refer here for jean inspo (think white denim!). When styling a statement piece, consider a monochromatic scheme. This is a very simple way to coordinate an ensemble without competing with the focal point (in this case the skirt).

To me, this look resembles liquid metal…the best kind – rose gold! To prevent your monochromatic scheme from looking too uniform, consider mixing textures. The sequins, feathers, and pleats create dimension and an aesthetically pleasing effect!

I hardly EVER publish articles on the weekend. In all honesty, I was afraid this ensemble would sell out faster than I could blog it. So here we are…ready for the LSU Tigers to beat the Florida Gators decked out in purple in front of a gold house. Haha. Just kidding…well sort of. This little number is too good not to share on a Saturday, and will easily carry you from the office to happy hour. Not bad for a $60 set if I say so myself! The bold lavender and blush print is unique, while the chunky gold buttons add the perfect feminine details.

In my true Latina fashion, I styled the blazer as a top. I LOVE it like this but recommend pairing it with this turtleneck if you are a 9-5 gal. We are experiencing very mild temperatures in the Bay Area so I styled this look with sandals. Ankle boots are another great option or OTKs if you are “blessed” with stilts for legs! Now how many times do you think I will re-wear this suit during the fall? I already have one special outing on the books!

Do you follow me on Instagram?! If so, then you probably know about the shoe-drama that went down last weekend. A very fashionable “Insta-friend” spotted a Kelsey Kaplan-esque pair of Louboutin sandals and sent them to me via direct message. That was it – I HAD to have them. They perfectly exemplify my personality and style in the form of a shoe: bubbly, extroverted, and BOLD! The Jewish holiday Passover was concluding which marked the end of my cooking extravaganza! I had prepared and cooked 24 meals in eight days without using ingredients that rise. That is breakfast, lunch, and dinner without using: wheat, flour, barley, oats, legumes (beans and peanuts) pasta, rice, and corn (I bet you don’t realize how many food items contain cornstarch in them).

The Shoes aka the Passover Present

If you have not already guessed, I rewarded myself with the shoes and my kitchen is closed for the foreseeable future. #ScaredForLife. I am referring to this investment as my “Passover present.” Sort of like a “push present” minus the baby. Haha! I think this is a fair trade off. Anyway, the Faridaravie Christian Louboutin sandal are the most incredible shoes I have ever seen. The craftsmanship is outstanding and they match with any color in the rainbow – all of the vibrant ensembles in my closet. For today’s big debut I am wearing a high-low two-piece set with neon accents. If Superwoman had a fashion blog this is what her uniform would look like!

The Earrings

Speaking of bold neons, it is my pleasure to introduce you to Treasure Jewels. Your online destination for ear drama! Each design is beautifully hand-crafted in Colombia, mi “patria.” I have never received more compliments on my earrings than I do when I wear a pair of Treasure Jewels. This embroidered jacket is fit for a fashionista. The details are rich and the faux fur lining is heavenly. The $70-ish price tag does not justify its worth. This piece looks like it was taken straight off of the runway at New York Fashion Week! I think we can all appreciate a “look for less” during the gift giving season! I’m a big fan of mixing textures, hence the reason I am wearing faux fur, leather-like culottes, pearls accents, and a metal waist belt in this look. You don’t have to go this overboard to look holiday ready!

If you follow me on Instagram then you may recall seeing this houndstooth suit! I could not decide between blue or the mauve until you guys chose the blue for me. In case you have no idea what I am referring to, Instagram stories allows you to poll your audience! Anyway, I listened to “the people” and they chose blue. I could not be happier with it! This pretty little thing is only $55 (no that is not a typo!) and the perfect addition to your fall wardrobe. But for such a classic print this is not your average houndstooth print set. That is why I’m attracted to it. I can never resist a dramatic sleeve or fringe hem embellishment!

 
Three years ago I discovered Shrimps fashion label while perusing the internet for a jacket. If you can afford it, here is where you’ll find statement pieces GALORE. Known for their playful patterns, fabulous faux fur, and daring accessories, I have been dreaming about this pearl beaded purse for way too long! While Shrimps deserves the design credit, retailers like Shein and Miuco have finally come out with dupe versions. Let me just say, it was worth the wait! This beautiful handbag adds a hint of feminine flair to every ensemble you pair it with. Shop it now because it won’t last long!

This blue suit fits like a dream and it is only $48. Shocking – I know! I love when suits are sold as sets because it is like getting three outfits for the price of one. Today I am wearing the top and bottoms together, but I am already planning to wear them as separates. The blazer features notched lapels and a button front closure, giving you endless style options. Go shirtless under this thing, if you please. The matching pants feature a mid-rise waist, but I must admit I prefer a high-rise waist. Considering the price point, it’s totally worth the inconvenience. The cropped length is great, but it hit me at the ankle. I opted to have them hemmed just so you could get a better view of my shoes.

The shoes on the other hand…let’s just say I’ve been watching stalking ’em on the internet for the past several weeks. As a lover of color, it doesn’t get any better than a pair of rainbow pumps with red soles! If you are a loyal KKF reader, then you already know my thoughts about the So Kate Christian Louboutin pump. This is my first time wearing the “Pigalle,” but my initial assessment is that they are easier to walk in. The thicker stiletto heel and the slightly lower heel height make a big difference. Keep your Standards High, and your Heels Higher!

Wedges are a smart choice if you are on your feet for several hours. There is equal pressure across the entire length of your foot. I am happy to report that I wore these shoes all day for 11 consecutive days with no foot pain or blisters. Shocking – I know, especially for a four inch platform. In terms of durability, I give them a 10. I walked through grass, cobblestone streets, sand, etc., without experiencing wear or tear on the soles. I was also caught in the rain a couple of times and the suede did not blemish.

Aside from comfort and durability, Marc Fisher wedges are suitable for all of your summer/fall fashions. They pair nicely with jeans, rompers, and maxi dresses. Available in nearly every color in the rainbow, you are always guaranteed to match. I am wearing the yellow here, but I am seriously considering buying the purple or blush suede as backup. You know what they say, “if the shoe fits, but it in every color!”
