When it comes to workout pants, I prefer the capri length. For hot-natured folks like myself, full length leggings can become uncomfortably warm. The JOJO Capris hit mid calf (keep in mind I am 5 feet tall), making them a great option for barre class, spin, and everything in between. If you’re an Instagram junkie, then I am sure you’ve noticed fashionistas decked out in cute donut t-shirts, pineapple graphic tees, fruit-shaped purses, etc. So when I came across this popsicle printed top, for a whopping $15.90 at Forever 21, it was too good to pass up. Playing along with the whole patriotic color scheme, I paired this top with royal blue scalloped shorts – although your go-to denim would work too. I tucked the top in for a tidier look as the shirt is boxy in nature. I accessorized with a vibrant necklace, blue Ray-Ban flash lenses, and red studded pumps.

No popsicles were wasted in the making of this post…

After finding the perfect pair of destroyed white skinnies at Current Clothing, it was time to test them out. If you cannot already tell, I am on a kick for all things neon. With the pants being so slim fit, I was looking for a top that would provide some front and back coverage. The yellow mesh sweater photographed below was the right cut and the knit composition is suitable for spring temperatures. Aside from a well matching top and bottom, I never consider an outfit complete without a statement piece. That is where these printed ankle strap sandals come into play! Featuring a muti-colored high-rise heel back, these shoes will effortlessly jazz up your attire by incorporating some great shades into your ensemble. To bring out some of those hues, I polished off the outfit with an irridescnet rhinestone necklace and my blue flash sunglasses.

Too hot where you live for long sleeves and bottoms? Swap out the pants for a pair of white cut off shorts.

When you come across a flattering patterned top, buy it! It’s easy to get into the habit of stocking up on solids and basics, but those won’t do you any good when you’re in a rush and you find yourself having one of those “I have nothing to wear moments.” When I tried on this multicolored top, I could immediately tell it would pair nicely with virtually any color denim, coated denim, or leather. In the ensemble photographed below, I suited up in some skinny jeans (not just any jeans, but Flying Monkey jeans – my favorite brand), and a black boyfriend blazer. Although you could get away with various shades of denim, I recommend a fitted bottom such as a skinny or straight leg pant when wearing a boxy garment on top. I polished off the look with a glitzy necklace of similar tones, a navy blue fringe purse, and patent leather nude pumps.

For the alternate look below, my goal was to transform the same attire into an edgy ensemble appropriate for a night on the town. If you can avoid “wasting” a second outfit during the same day, do it. Swapping out the denim pants for some vegan leather shorts was an obvious fix – it was all of a sudden sunny and 70 degrees in San Francisco. Next, I switched up my jewels for some black and gold ones straight out of my armoire, replaced the navy purse with a classic Gucci bag, and threw on my blue Ray-Bans.

How about this outfit for under $100?! No matter near or far from San Francisco, this dress is perfect for you! Its draped cut makes it suitable for all body types and it is a great layering piece. Being in Cali, I was able to get away with bare legs, but it is the perfect length to wear over some printed leggings if you’re in a cooler climate. Anyway, I added some glam to this rather simple dress by pairing it with a paisley navy blue scarf and high heeled knee-high taupe boots (only $40 and available in black too!). I turned it up a notch with my gold and blue Ray-Ban mirrored sunglasses, and further accessorized with a glitzy watch, gold bangles and a statement ring.

As the sun started to go down, I put on a white blazer for added warmth and a floppy felt hat. See how easy it was to change the look and feel of this dress with just a jacket and hat? Imagine all you could do with the accessories already in your closet!

Typically, pilot Ray-Bans come in two sizes – the Aviator Classic, and the Aviator small. This is the case for the blue and green mirrored glasses you’ve probably noticed fashionistas around the city sporting, but they have not yet released a petite version in the purple and gold frames. Hopefully after the new year these gorgeous shades will be available in the smaller size…if not, I might just have to get used to the original style!
