Fancy Phone

Dressing up your device is a simple way to express your personality, but these (1) customizable phone cases take it to another level. I’m itching for the pink one – surprise surprise! Speaking of our most prized possessions…if your quarantine is anything like mine, your phone battery hardly lasts a day. It is SO easy to be on it 24/7. These (15) faux stone charging pads will keep the juice flowing and look pretty while doing it.

Bag Goals

All that needs to be said is, BAG GOALS. Each one of these beauts is unique, flashy, and fun. Obviously I am enamored with the multicolored Gucci (13), I am a #GucciGirl at heart, but I would welcome any one of them into my closet with open arms. I have the hardest time finding beach bags (16) that actually excite me, but rainbow rhinestones surely do the trick! Insert heart-eyes.

Shoe Crush

If I was in a position to splurge, it would be on these Gucci platform sandals (4). It is no secret that pink is my favorite neutral and these are SO classic. They would literally match with everything in my closet and they’re the perfect heel height. Plus, you can dress them up with dresses/rompers/jumpsuits, or down with some comfy matching separates. But in the meantime, these (7) glitzy flatform espadrilles for under $50 will have to do!

Let’s Dress up

Oh em gee. I’ve been admiring this (10) hot little number for over a week. Not only is it the perfect LSU dress (GEAUX TIGERS!), but it screams spring and that makes me happy. I look forward to the occasion where it’s appropriate to wear and plan to accompany it with these (9) earrings and this (8) dazzling face cover – yep, I went there. If the use of face masks is our new normal, then might as well make it a chic choice.

Modest Length

I can’t speak for you, but some of my biggest pet peeves are when skirts or shorts ride up. It’s like with every step you take, you have to pull down your bottoms. #Annoying. I’m not into the whole “cheeky” thing unless I’m at the beach! Mom shorts are a huge fashionista satisfier because they are the appropriate length haute out of the box. They are also a high rise garment, alleviating the chance of them riding up even more. Hooray! 

Modest Fit

Similar to the full-length jean that you’re accustomed to, mom jeans are made for mobility. They are a working girl’s kind of short. Not only are the modest in length, but they’re forgiving in fit. Ain’t no such thing as a pair of skin tight mom shorts! Tip: pair your mom shorts with a belt for a waist-slimming fit (as seen here). I love this pair because it is a stylish take on a classic garment. The metallic sheen adds just enough character without taking away the functionality.

My Art Project

This look is what I refer to my “art project.” Using mixed mediums (a beaded corset and a water color skirt), I was able to piece together an eye-catching ensemble. Incorporating different textures into your outfit is a great way to create dimension and appeal. In this case, the pearl corset is an unexpected element to the design. The neon on the top and bottom (neon slides) pulls everything together into a cohesive look.

Are you new to the neon trend this spring? I mentioned this during a radio segment with Shan and Greg last week on 99.7Now – neon is HOT and totally classy. It can be mixed with traditional spring pastels and conservative garments. I’ll admit it, this outfit is suitable for the younger generation and maybe a bit “wild.” My art project is elegant and appropriate for gals of all ages. The bustier can easily be swapped out for a beautiful blouse. Now that you see graceful and chic neon can be, are you willing to give it a go?!

These pretty little things have the ability to squash a “bad hair day,” and they are the least expensive item on this list. Score!

The Party

We like to party…we like we like to party! From cupcakes and cocktails, to killer outfits and fancy hair-dos, we shopped, we sipped, and we mingled. It was SO fun to meet the girls behind the Insta in real life. I am so appreciative of the ladies who traveled near and far to support me and the event! A special shoutout is in order to all of the Latina ladies who came out – I loved meeting each and every one of you!

The Outfit

Color is the way to my heart. It genuinely lifts my mood. When I laid eyes on the color block designs, it was a done deal. I had to have a piece of my own! I ended up choosing the pullover top, but this vibrant pattern is also available in a body con midi dress, and a pleated midi skirt. Although the dress was a close second, the top gave me the opportunity to incorporate another color into the ensemble – insert “bright poppy” shorts! These little things fit perfectly, are not too short, and so very flattering on the legs. I highly recommend adding a pair to your spring wardrobe!

Do not let the neon trend intimidate you. Just because you would not wear a bright sequin dress, doesn’t mean you cannot mix in this happy hue else wear. Start small and consider “popping” your outfit with blazing accessories. A pair of earrings, a purse, or shoes will do the trick. Any guesses which of the three have made it off of my “wish list” and into my shopping cart?

Make bold moves with a neon suit or a dramatic dress. I LOVE this pink two piece set because it’s like getting three outfits out of one. How CUTE would these shorts be paired with a tangerine sweater?! You already know how I feel about platform shoes, and this pair has got it goin’ on!

Finally, wedding guest season just became more enjoyable thanks to the surplus in orange dresses. This stunner would be perfect for a beachside wedding. Take it up a notch with contrasting colors. Consider a yellow slide and statement jewelry.

One of the biggest pain points (literally and figuratively) when it comes to high heel wearing is that they are rarely comfortable. The higher the heel, the higher the arch leaving the ball of your foot to bear the weight. Platform shoes eliminate the pain point. The sole and the heel of the shoe are level on the ground. Score!

Instant Boost

We all wear high heels for the same reason: to look taller. Buy a pair of platforms and you will comfortably accomplish just that. Petite girls rejoice! Platforms are typically about five inches tall. No matter how high-waisted your pants are, you will never be able to elongate the appearance of your legs as much as you can with a pair of these kicks.

The Knot

Something as easy as a side knot can take your look from ok to great. Knots come and go but right now they are unusually hip. But more than that, they serve a very specific purpose. Knotting your t-shirt is a great way to show off your figure and reduce bulk. Consider a side, middle, or back knot the next time you suit up in a t-shirt.

Step it Up

If you are petite like me and you wear a t-shirt and sneakers, you will be mistaken for a teenager. Swap the sneaks for some heels and just like that you up your style game. And it doesn’t need to be a five inch stiletto. A high heel slide will do the trick. This pair is under $40 and available in pale blue and tomato red. Stock up while supplies last.

Surprise, surprise

Pair your tee with an unexpected bottom. A skirt, culottes, or flounce hem jeans perhaps. This style hack is just as impactful as mixing prints but it is easier to execute. So remember, knots, heels, and dynamic bottoms. Happy Friday!
