Brighten with Brow Wiz

Manicured eyebrows go a long way. Whether or not you maintain their shape by plucking, waxing, or threading, eyebrows and eyelashes are like the “icing on the cake” when it comes to makeup application. While maintaining their shape is a good start, try adding volume and color with a reliable brow pencil and experience the difference for yourself!

Although permanent makeup is gaining in popularity, I find it too dark and long-lasting for the brows. What happens if you decide to go blonde after having them tinted dark brown? Filling in your eyebrows with the right pencil is temporary and can be just as effective. Well, having one of the most reputable names in the fashion and beauty industry, I decided to start out with Chanel’s Crayon Sourcils Sculpting Eyebrow pencil. Although I was happy with the color and added volume, I did not find the texture as smooth as I thought it should be. While still happy with other Chanel makeup, now set on fuller brows, I decided to try another brand.

I went straight to the Anastasia Beverly Hills collection. Boy have they got it goin’ on! I totally see why their brow kits are award winning. From brow primer, to brow holding gel, to brow powder, to brow pencil, you name it, they’ve got it!

Before dabbling in all new  products, I started out with the dark brown “Brow Wiz” mechanical pencil.  Already, I was pleased that the pencil would sharpen itself. This duel-sided pencil also features a built in brow brush – a great way to save room in your cosmetic bag! The precise tip makes filling in and outlining the brows as easy as 1, 2, 3…not to mention, that the pencil glides on as smooth as silk. I’m sold.

For a good everyday look, I recommend choosing a pencil that already matches your natural brow color. You can always apply it heavier for a night on the town. Filling in your eyebrows will brighten your eyes and face and make you look effortlessly primped. Give it a shot and let me know how they turn out!
